I was cravings Jimmy Johns so bad yesterday as it’s been so long since I’ve had it. We went through the drivethru and placed our order. In the middle of ordering from the gentleman on the speaker, a lady gets on the speaker to it seemed like to help him out. We had two pretty simple sandwich orders but neither of them could get them right and asked us at least four different times what we specified on them and then it finally sounded correct and we drove thru and got our order. When we got home, both sandwiches were completely wrong. We were upset and hungry so tried to fix them so we could try to eat them. That didn’t work so I called to let them know and the lady I talked to who I told was the manager could not get the order straight after speaking to her for a while. I got frustrated and just asked for a credit. My boyfriend didn’t realize I was still on the phone and left to pick up the reorder. As I told her that we would go get them after all she asked that he bring the other sandwiches back. I told her that one was given to the dog but I’d try to catch my boyfriend to take the other, but he was gone by then. He shows up and was told that he needed to bring the other sandwiches. He told them just to forget it and came back home. I called back and asked for a refund but was told by the same lady who claimed to be the manager that I’d have to wait for her boss to come in the next day and would have them call me about the refund. Nobody ever called me about the situation and now I want my $15.00 I spent on sandwiches that I never got to enjoy. I find it odd that during this whole COVID thing going on why somebody would want some opened up and touched sandwiches back and make a big deal after they messed things up and caused me more trouble then it was worth just to try to have a sandwich. We placed a curbside order at this Jimmy John’s almost two weeks ago on our way to the airport. We paid for several full size sandwiches plus a kid’s sandwich, and the kid’s sandwich was left out of the order. We were already on our way to the airport so we had to figure out something else for the kid in our party. I placed the order about an hour in advance, and once we got the sandwiches it seemed like they must have made them when the order was placed and then let them sit for an hour. The sandwiches were very soggy by that point. Several of us also paid extra for additional items like pickles and cucumbers only to find one pickle/cucumber added onto the sandwich. Not a huge deal, just annoying on top of the other problems we had.
Even with all of the other issues we experienced, I contacted this Jimmy John’s and only asked for a refund for the kid’s sandwich since we paid for it yet it was not included in our order. I was told that I could have credit for a sandwich only at this location, not any other Jimmy John’s, which doesn’t work since we live out of state. Then I was told only the owner could issue a refund and that they would get back to me. I’ve called four times, given my name and number each time, and no one has ever called me back. We ordered three sandwiches with a drive-thru cashier who was barely sober and barely conscious. We waited in line for about 15 minutes and got our sandwiches. We live 25 minutes away and arrived home to find all three sandwiches were wrong. I called the manager and she blamed me at first and then blamed every other person in the crew except for herself, coincidentally she was the one who made the sandwiches. After making the call awkward and having no solution I had to ask HER to make order good. She then told me I could drive all the way back and have ONE sandwich remade. I asked her why only one sandwich would be remade and she had no real answer. Next time I want a sandwich, I will drive to the Jimmy Johns across town on Morthern Avenue and order there.
