Nana's BBQ — Restaurant in Pueblo

Best new family small business ever! I wish them every success! Great simple bbq menu, nice sides options, great drink selection. You can even buy Gatorade. We ate in and got a hamburger(it takes 10 minutes they tell you) and hotdog and both were cooked perfect, and baked beans were warm, and cold slaw was cold and so great. The hotdog and hamburger were bbq grilled; and the hamburger came with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle I think. The bun was toasted. The burger was so good that I forgot ketchup. I usually like ketchup on my burger. Great little tasty home-style BBQ place. Nice tall, sunny windows and you can see outside. Cheery red, yellow, orange, and green decor. Small decent indoor seating area, there's outdoor seating too. No public bathrooms, but the mall has bathrooms at food court. Don't forget to tip your servers, 10-20% is normal range! Eat a nice bbq meal at Nana's, and then walk it off around the mall afterwards,...

The good: order was correct and prepared well, poppers were great, we got the ones with pulled pork. Could easily make a meal of those and be quite happy. The portions were reasonable. The brisket was decent and while we weren't fans of the sauce (molasses, maybe? Never been a fan of molasses sauces, but to each their own...), it paired fairly well with the brisket. The pulled pork was also good. The meh: ribs just weren't quite right. Overpowering wood but they looked boiled maybe, very light rub, and sauce included didn't pair well. The sides we had were all pretty bland - potato salad, beans, and coleslaw. Not bad, we've definitely had worse, but just very plain, felt they all needed something... It's a cozy little hole in the wall. The people that work there Great. The food was Great. The service was Great. I would have pictures to post of the food but it looked so good I forgot to take the pic lmao. That's how good that food was. I had the loaded nachos, my wife had the mega bowl with brisket instead of pulled pork , and my son had the kids rib plate which was 2 ribs and fries but filled him up. The fries looked hand cut and they where definitely fresh. Everything was fresh. If your traveling and are in the pueblo area definitely check them out.
