I just paid $18 for a 12" Hawaiian pizza w/ gluten free crust. It is unquestionably the worst pizza I have ever had, including cheap store-bought. And I have eaten lots of pizza in my 74 years. There was barely enough tomato sauce on top to color the crust, and virtually no cheese. The crust was worse than any other GF crust I have had. The only positive was that there was enough ham to cover the top, although it must have been cut with a laser tool, it was so thin. I have eaten Papa's pizza several times before and it was decent...but this one was a travesty...pretty much ruined my son's birthday celebration!!! And somehow, Papa's thinks they will make this horrible experience ALL BETTER by offering me a $3 or 20% off coupon? This store, in Pueblo on Hwy 50, is about a 2-minute drive from my home but I will absolutely NOT be back.
Follow up: Get this. Papa's sent me a link to give them more feedback on my experience. After spending time providing them with more helpful info, I couldn't submit my input until I checked a box not only agreeing with their terms and conditions (understandable) but ALSO agreeing to accept future marketing from them! Read moreI called the pueblo west location to ordera pickup and the individual who answered the phone was trying to rush me and while I was asking and the stuffed pizzas he kept saying stuffed crust all a while not listening to what I was saying,I needed to ask the Individual to slow down because I was not finished ordering, I had to repeat 3 times what time I would be there for the pickup and ask for the total, when I picked up the pizza the kid with the wild curly hair came out from the back room and gave me a really ugly look, the kid that handed me the pizza was hold my pizzas as if they were in a box, when we got home the pizzas were not wrapped properly, on my chicken garlic pizza they had put bell peppers instead of green onions and the toppings on both pizzas were just thrown in the center so I needed to fix them spread the toppings properly so my family could enjoy the meal, did not want to return to store as I felt they kids would not have done anything to fix...
Read moreI placed an order for one pizza on Tuesday 9/18/23 from the app. I arrived at the time the app/email said it would be complete (30 minutes later) to find a line out the door. The pizza was not ready, and had to wait in line for 45 minutes to ask about it. During this time everyone ahead of me was complaining about their orders not being ready too. Once I got to the register, they said they did not have the order and they would make it. It took another 15 minutes to get the pizza. I was there an hour total waiting. I understand Tuesdays are busy because of the deal, the store should staff for this. If they cannot, then the app should not give a false impression that it will be ready on time. Other restaurants stop taking online orders when volume exceeds what they can actually turn around. Bottom line is the young staff were overwhelmed.
