Parise's Lounge — Restaurant in Pueblo

First and foremost, I frequent this bar on a regular basis. Last night was the first time I was ever truly offended by anyone at this establishment, and it needs to be known. There was a large group of people off in the corner by the pool table and complimentary food who were just drunk and rowdy. (can only be expected in a bar after 9pm.) That was not the issue though. Around 9pm a gentlemen came in with his girlfriend or wife, brought his pool stick, ordered some beer, and put his quarters up on the pool table. He won his first match and was getting ready to play his next match, when a really nasty BIG woman who had been slamming the bars pool cues around all night started running her foul mouth. "This is OUR table!" she kept saying, "You should not even be here!" she was clearly upset that the newcomer won the first game... The 2nd game did not last very long, the newcomer had no problem defeating his 2nd opponent who was clearly not at his skill level. By this time I was pretty sure the big woman was going to have a heart attack. She continued to run her mouth and yell things about how "this is HER table" she just would not let it go. The third game was a close match, the newcomer handled himself very well despite multiple members of the group yelling during his shots, and was even confronted by one of the really drunk members of the group during one of his shots. He lost the match, shook hands with his opponent and walked off. This was such a poor display of sportsmanship and a saddening way to treat any person. That big woman (with the even bigger mouth) and the rest of the group was way out of line and honestly I felt bad for the newcomer who was just there to play some pool. The only reason I'm giving one star is so that hopefully management will see this...

I, fortunately or unfortunately, (however you interpret it) have hit my share of dives when life demands it. This is the BEST dive in town.

There are no pretentious people...just a bunch of drunk happy ones. The owner Vicki is a fellow Italiana who runs a tight ship. She even has signs "No drinking!" (For the bartenders) and "No smoke breaks over 3 minutes!" which I've never seen before but am awed and impressed by. This owner cares about her customers and makes sure her employees do their jobs. When's the last time you mossied into a bar like that on accident? So I feel awkward calling it a dive. I was VERY impressed.

I think y'all are awesome. You get your drinks FAST, made RIGHT, and CHEAP. And you get to hang out with cool people. I'll be back when life demands it. Thanks for a great time! 🥰

PS..I only went during the day and not on pool night. Apparently by the other reviews that is when problems begin. So stay safe and get a drink...

I'm struggling to give you guys even one star, but for the sake of this review I have to. Last night, May 1st 2021, you guys kicked out my disabled friend for bringing her service dog, who was quiet the whole time. Also you asked her to prove she was disabled, which is illegal. My friend went home crying and humiliated because you were unfriendly and callous towards her when all she wanted to do was enjoy karaoke night. I've told all my friends and shared our experience on Facebook and Twitter, and told everyone to avoid your business....
