I'm sorry, I hate to do this to a nice little Chinese restaurant that apparently survived the shutdowns in Washington state, but the food was absolutely horrible. We were really hungry so we both ordered a combo dinner. Mine- sweet and sour pork and "almond" chicken, fried rice and chow mein. Both the pork and the chicken were round balls of deep fried batter with two different sauces on them. It was no more almond chicken than if I had ordered a hoagie. The gravy was a white flavorless gravy and the batter was so tasteless it was astonishing. The exact same batter was on the sweet-and-sour chicken, and the sauce for that was something generic out of a can. The chow mein wasn't too bad but again the sauce tasted like something they had gotten out of a package. The fried rice was white rice and had been mildly colored, it had three pieces of barbecue pork on top and that was all- no onion, no egg, no vegetable, white rice with the barbecue pork. My husband had cashew chicken and again the sauce was something out of a can and the chicken appeared to be thick slices off of a loaf of luncheon meat. The young man who waited on us was just perfect, I hope he moves on and finds a restaurant worthy of his skill, the restaurant was clean and very pleasant and very bright, but I watched three other people eating at a table next to us and they were pushing their food around on their plate trying desperately to gather up the courage to eat it. Both of these dinners that we got were $15, it...
Read moreWhere to start, First I understand supporting a local business, but there are limits to it. Bad Food should be call out on. I'm about 5 to 6 mins away from the restaurant. So you think the food would be delivered hot and warm. Not lukewarm and ice cold. The quility doesnt match the prices at all you get better quality at panda then here. The sauce they used taste like cheap store bought ones, their breading to meat ratio needs work. I hate to leave bad reviews but Golden Teriyaki cook need to learn the bases. Give the meat more time to marinade. Specify their BBQ pork need at less a 24hr marinade time at best for good favor. The sauces taste store bought and leaves a better taste. To fix this look up recipes for sauces China is rich in culinary favors with each region have a unique characteristics to them. Spend so time learning about it. On keeping the food warm is easy and needs no explanation. From what I taste this place is garbage. I just do not understand if it was a bad day or normal. Pullman have a wonderful food scene so I do not understand the reviews for a...
Read morecoming from someone who has had a lot of asian food both across the country and internationally, i think this is one of, if not the best restaurant in pullman for a variety of chinese food and definitely the best place for pho. the authentic dishes here are really good. usually not busy when i’ve gone, but i definitely recommend dishes such as pho, beef hotpot, and beef stew noodle soup. spice levels are customizable and flavors are good. i think the ingredients vary a bit, but nothing that detracts from my experience thus far.
it seems like the authentic chinese menu dishes are a lot better than the other items on the menu judging from the other reviews so i would highly recommend trying things from that menu.
the staff is always friendly and it seems like a family owned restaurant. cozy interior — i find myself coming here for comfort food. highly recommend...
