Burg'r Bar — Restaurant in Punta Gorda

This used to be a great place to eat but the food and service has gone way downhill. This was our second bad experience in a row and we will not be back. The times we have been there for lunch the food has been OK, but it isn't great anymore.

Last time we were skipped over for seating because we had service dogs in the party and were told we had to sit outside, even though we said we could sit inside. By the time we were sat for breakfast (20+ minute wait because they wouldn't sit us inside so skipped over us for seating) it was just after 11 (11:04) and we were initially told we couldn't order breakfast anymore. The manager got the kitchen to make it but it was made wrong. On the remake, it was cold (they just put the recooked portion on the plate with the rest that had been sitting) but I didn't want to wait for it again so dealt with it.

Decided to give it another try, but this time, we were a larger party (6 people) with non-service dogs so we did need to sit outside. Instead of pushing tables together they sat all the 2-4 tops that came after us and we waited over 45 min for a table when we were told a 20 min wait. My food was again made wrong - twice. Another barely got any of some ingredients that should have been on the plate. My recook took over 25 minutes and by then the rest of the table was done eating. I was then told since it was well after 11 they were no longer doing breakfast but I could order something else but they couldn't make that again. It is not our fault the food was made wrong twice and it was now after 11, so we asked for a manager. I was told they could remake it but it would take nearly 20 minutes so I didn't ask for it to be remade as we had somewhere else to be. It was remade again anyway, and the entire table waited this time for their checks to be brought out.

Even on the third re-cook, it was not well-made. While the eggs were finally cooked they were not drained so everything on the plate was soggy from the water. It makes for a horrible customer experience to wait 45 min for a table, over an hour for food to be cooked wrong 3 times and still leave hungry, so we will not be giving it another try. We're talking well-poached eggs here, not a 5-course meal. Eggs are not...

I drive past this building. Every day for work in wanted to try it for a burger. Me and my fiancé go in there and order our food. I ordered the guda Barbecue burger. I was excited to have it because it sound delicious on the menu I ordered it a little pink inside. After receiving my item and taking a few bites, it was completely raw in the middle. I called my server over there. She didn't even come to the table. She saw it and immediately said she was going to go get somebody. She came back and told me that she was taking it off my bill, which I was happy about. Because well I could not eat it. She then asked if I wanted a new one, which I Said yes to because well, that's the reason I went there was to eat. After waiting another 20 minutes to get my new burger. It comes out and it is almost well done. What's what's not nice to eat. Not convention. That was barely a squirt of barbecue on there. One piece of bacon cut into two an onions that were sauteed with no flavor. After I took a few bites, I put it in my to go box and we Bill. After looking at the bill, the burger was never taken off. I ask the waitress why the burger wasn't taken off. She said you got a new one. At that point I'm p* disgusted. Paid for my meal and walked out. When I pulled into this quaint little gem in Punta Gorda, with soft sunlight cascading all around and down, I knew that my palate was in for a true delight!

Upon entering the main rooms as well as adjacent options, both intelligently located in the front and back, were equally cozy and enticingly inviting.

As my Lady and I were promptly and courteously greeted, we opted for the outdoor seating. And in no time, our lively and lovely waitress, arrived to attend to our needs.

The menu proved to be brilliant and exquisitely laid out. Simple, but in the most elegant of forms. And the options of delectable delights ever so tempting!, indeed if only I had more than one stomach to enjoy it all!

Our meals were delivered swiftly and with a humble smile, affecting a feeling that we were truly their guests and appreciated.

And such a meal it was!, indeed my Lady declairs that it was hands down the greatest burger she's ever known ~ and that's an exclamation worthy of note!
