TERRIBLE !!! Waited over 35 minutes never got our appetizer or any food sat the whole time with empty glasses - they were not slammed plenty of empty seats and tables.. was our first time here - will never be back. Stay away if you’re actually expecting to eat and drink at a restaurant- this is not the place. Then when I went to walk to counter I said I only wanted to be charged for our one drink each and not the food we did not get .. I was informed they don’t know why I didn’t get my food it has been sitting back in the kitchen done for quite a while ?! Thanks. Left hungry , thirsty and irritable.
reply to Owner* - today at lunch - high top in front of bar - and then walked up to the bar to ask for check once I became irritable from being so hungry . Male server. Also seemed it was just him working as he started as our server then was behind the bar.. then the woman behind the bar I can’t even put a time on it for so long was just hanging out the window bar flirting with some guys sitting on the outside seating at bar window - your restaurant was a disappointment because we came there literally drove 40 minutes to see what the hype was about and were looking forward to it based off your Google page and could not even get served. Then ended up starving the whole way home .. ate at home which was funny because we were there to begin with so it was a waste of the afternoon. - hopefully you can get some better...
Read moreI’ve been twice now for lunch, excellent both times. Would summarize as elevated southern food in comfortable setting at fair price. Food - 8.9/10: Leroy’s dishes aren’t complex or flashy, they just use high quality ingredients and execute simple things really well and bring tons of flavor. I love sauces, and I love to see when all the sauces are made in house. I’ve had po boys, jalepeno burger, salads, everything is fresh, well seasoned, sizable portions. I would bet that anything coming out of this kitchen is delicious. A lot of the menu is on the heavier side, but they have an express lunch menu with lighter fair and their salads are solid. I want to try so many things and need to come back when I’m prepared to be in a food coma. - update, I came back and got: wings 9.1/10 (best quality wing I’ve had in a while, as good as anyone’s), pork belly buns (8.2/10), fried green tomatoes (super crunchy batter, awesome dip sauce, Mac n cheese (9/10 - so good), deviled eggs (8.1 - delicious). Drinks 9.1/10 - their cocktail menu is one of the best in the area, even better than the bars. Good beer selection. Well crafted and presented beautifully. Service 9.3/10 - - both times greeted and seated promptly, genuinely friendly, attentive. Atmosphere 8.3/10 - they have a variety of seating areas, outdoor in the sun and shade, large bar, and indoor tables. All areas were clean...
Read moreWhen we walked in to the hostess table, we waited 5 minutes before we were acknowledged, despite several staff members going by. When the hostess showed up she ignored us and answered the phone instead.
Then, the hostess sat us at our table, but didn't leave us menus, so I flagged down a passing staff member. She never stopped walking and told me that I have to scan a QR code to read the menu on my phone. I'm not a 15 yo girl, whose life revolves around a phone. I came to eat a meal and socialize with my friends, not squint at a browser window. This is exceptionally poor customer service.
The appetizer (charcuterie board) was the highlight of the night. It was similar to the menu, in that it had a bunch of weird items on it. It was quite good. This was in contrast to the dinner menu that was simply weird and tasted Ok at best.
The service was very slow. It seemed like our waitress had too many tables, as she was otherwise good at her job and friendly. My friend ordered a mixed drink, and she came back 15+ minutes later to apologize for the bars slow service.
If you like a weird menu, slow service, and looking at your phone to order, this is the place for you. Only good news was I didn't have to scan a code to pay...
This was our second visit to the restaurant. The last was for lunch a few years ago. The experience...
