Perch,what can I say. Such a mixed bag. First,I hate that they use plastic glasses.If gor no other reason,there is always a breeze up there and if your glass is less than half full it will blow over. And to me a bar of this type should be using glasses.There may be a reason,but it's odd that they do it sometimes and not others. Consistency should be important. That goes for drinks. Again,depending on bartender,drinks can range from almost undrinkable to great. Had one bartender make a margarita that I seriously could not drink. Staff. Ah,where do I begin? Went one afternoon-4 women behind bar. One,Natalie(end if shift) ended up staying an extra hour,because the others weren't doing anything except chatting. The worst is Krista(or Kristin). Ordered drink. Natalie had to tell her to make it because she was checking her phone. Made it and stood there w/it in her hand talking to another girl. Had to say,excuse me,can you bring me my drink. Been there several times when she working and is the laziest bartender I've ever seen. She needs to be fired. Another issue I have is that I was there w/ friends one afternoon and apparently one serves drawer was short. The manager Chris(another useless) was discussing it w/her at the bar. She's getting upset and raising her voice. So uncomfortable. That's something you do behind closed doors. Not in front of customers. To get back to Chris-comes and goes. Doesn't seem to take care of or even care about issues. And if he's the one ordering the bar stock. He needs to re-evaluate the stock as well as listen. More than once,been there and people have requested a liquor or brand and they don't have it. Have seen other bartenders tell him and he kind of just shrugs it off. Now,for the good. Lucas and Brittany are amazing. Professional,friendly,and take care of customers like each and every one is a friend. They remember who drinks what and names. Both deserve raise. Read moreThis is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at in Florida.. there is a restaurant downstairs which I didn't have enough days to check out..but I did get a burger at the rooftop bar"' it had a great flavor but I had ordered it cooked medium and it was bloody and still mooing.. thankfully I was able to salvage it by nuking it in the microwave in my room..the steak sandwich again had flavor but was really to tough to eat..both sandwiches were disappointing at $18 plus tax apiece so 2 sandwichs for $36 bucks and they charged $8 and $6.00 additional dollars for the bad hard cold fries (thankfully the tater tots I had were delicious..) so for 2 sandwiches and a small side of french fries and tater tots we paid a total 49 plus tax and we did tip 22% ...the drinks we had earlier at the bar were good.. but took a bit to initially get "the young man who assisted me finally ( I wish I could remember his name) was friendly and helpful but his co-workers 2 young ladies pretty much ignored us and were to busy gossiping to each other to even greet us.. if not for the young man who we motioned over to request" if he could wait on us "thankfully he said yes for the views up there are awesome and it really is a great space to chill at..if not for him we would had left... The rooftop is definitely a great place to hang if you have the right servers/ bartender but it seemed most of them upstairs need...
Read moreOur server had no knowledge of the menu and her timing was awful. The website stated to have a verity of bloody Mary’s and mimosas and I guess the website was old according to our waitress. We got to the rooftop at 10:40 we didn’t get greeted till 10:50. The two ladies I was with order and got their bloody Mary and mimosa drink. I ordered a cappuccino and did not get it when she dropped off the others drinks and said she was waiting on the bartender to make it. Till 30 minutes passed and I want found her till her to just bring me a water and forget the cappuccino. She never returned to our table after she dropped off my friends drinks. So when I told her about the water I said we’ve been ready to order as well. She then said the kitchen is done serving breakfast. We had been there for 50 minutes and she was at our table twice. So we tried to be troopers and said okay give us the lunch menu. Then 5 minutes pass and we flagged her down and told her we are ready to order. She then tells us we can’t order till 12. At this point to paid and left. She claimed she was new and work downstairs only. So shame of the hotel for not properly training their staff. Or maybe they were understaff.
