This is such a great little beverage shop with a fun bonus...a game room!
There's everything from coffee, to custom lattes, to lemonades with boba! There is a big regular menu with a wide variety to choose from, but each month has a specials page of eight to ten limited edition beverages.
My personal favorite is the vanilla-burbon latte, which I've had both hot and iced. I like that milk alternatives like oat and almond milk are available.
The staff is good at offering suggestions to help one make up their mind since there are so many appealing choices.
Chubby Dog also offers baked treats.
For home brewing Chubby Dog offers bags of their own roasted coffee blends. They make great gifts for coffee lovers!
One can purchase a reusable, heavy-duty mug with the Chubby Dog logo on it.
There are Loyalty Cards where each drink ordered gets a stamp; once the card is filled, it can be redeemed for a free beverage!
There is seating in the main area to hang out and chat, read, or do a little remote work.
The large side room has been designed as a gaming room. There is sofa seating for relaxing, tables with chairs for playing tabletop/card games, and TVs with connected gaming systems for patrons to use. They do have various scheduled game nights, from what I've seen posted in the venue. I know I've seen Magic the Gathering events advertised in the past.
This is a great, local business!
The best perk is that many times one will find an actual dog or two visiting...
Read moreMy friends and I visit this place for the 10 minute breaks we have during drivers ed. Wasn’t a problem until a new lady appeared at the counter. Heard she was complaining about my group of friends to other students in the class that visit the shop just as much as we do. This establishment has a “game room” with couches and tables to sit at. When we were leaving today the server singled out a student with a different race and started yelling and using vulgar language, claiming we were not purchasing drinks and taking advantage of the establishment’s public lounge space. This behavior was totally unprovoked and we were all very surprised that we experienced this horrible interaction. We all have bought at least one drink every day, and today was the only day we didn’t purchase anything. As I was reading the reviews, it appears that this isn’t the first time someone has complained about a server being racist. I’m not sure if it was purposely to single this young man out, but we did not appreciate the hostility and combative personality of the server. We were told not to come back but with no solid reason. Very disappointing because we all enjoyed their drinks and the hospitality of the...
Read more2/5 stars cause I've tried them 5 times and they were only good twice. Place is nice and love to support locals but I expect more, especially when paying top dollar. The coffee is very inconsistent and have zero considerations of mixing it for us who support them, a small detail that goes a long way. Although quick service, that's not what this place should be about. In a world of coffee, don't be a Dunkins
Edit: what I mean by mixing is when I order something I expect you to add the ingredients and blend them together so I don't need to in my car on the way to work. Nothing is nice about getting a $5 coffee and having to pull the cover off and mix it with the cheap flimsy straws because you guys couldn't when it's made. Especially after the ice is added, it's damn near impossible w.o making a mess. You ever drive thru dunkins and order a iced coffee and you see an inch of sugar at the bottom and your cream is sitting on top? This is a service industry and I expect greatness in...
