So I had ordered a meatlovers puzza with veggies added (only bc they don't have a everything pizza), Papa's 1 lbs meatball, and a order of their fried pickle chips.
1.) There were many more pickle chips before i took the pic. And boy are they addictive!
2.) Papa's meatball. This thing was literally the size of a softball! Also, to my understanding, they are made to order, not frozen junk you get from other restaurants. It has that perfect "bite feel". Topped with the sauce, it's heavenly.
2 1/2.) They also included 2 slices of itialn bread for scooping up that delicious sauce. It isn't stale, crunchy crust, chewey center.
3.) I grabbed the aforementioned items because they are on their "give back" menu. I mean come on, you get delicious food, AND part of your proceeds help out the local community. I won't wax more about it, they explain it better on their website.
4.) Finally the pizza. I honestly can't find anything to say negative about it. The bottom crust is perfect(In my own opinion), the sauce is not over bearing nor does it taste like a tinned sauce. As you can see from the picture, the toppings are far from being skimped upon. Very delicious, as well as filling.
5.) They actually included a plastic knife and fork for the meatball. I know this seems a silly note, but many other places I've order from forget this.
Now this order ran me about $50. But you know what, you get what you pay for. This hit the spot, I've left overs (pizza, the pickle chips and meatball are no longer with us). All in all, I'll happily order from this hidden gem again.
Now excuse me as I...
Read moreA generous 3 to start with room for improvement. I was actually in the mood for pizza as we were driving through Putnam and we pulled in. Our first visit here. The greeter/server was a nice, young kid. Instructions were given on how to order so we sat ourselves to decide what we wanted them returned to order. I ended up having the classic Italian the way it comes and my husband had the burger with Vermont cheddar cheese with no tomato, no onion. He said the meat was delicious but he was still hungry. The burger came with 3 little pickle chips for $12. My Italian sandwich had a nice presentation but when you go to fold the sandwich, it fell apart easily. The bread was no match for the meat and toppings. The baguette was nice and a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I can't remember the price but it was a large sandwich so I didn't need anything extra with my meal. Afterwards, we walked up to the front to check out the rest of the menu and realized it would be an extra $4 for a small order of fries and $6 for a larger order I think I read. The menu felt a little ala carte, which if it was, I wasn't expecting that. Other restaurants not too far away offer the same type of burger and fries for $12 bucks and you're full. One suggestion would be to add a small side of potato salad or some potato wedges to make it feel like a full meal and worth the $12 you're spending. We're definitely going to come back to try the pizza so we'll see how it goes. The service was good and so was the...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by The Broken Crust. So many pizza places are just so so, but this is more than a pizza place. The sandwiches are something special. We had the Grilled Cheese Caprese, the Roasted Turkey BLT and a BYO small pizza with mushrooms and black olives. The BLT had a really amazing cranberry mayo... flavorful and interesting! It came with some really yummy house-made pickle chips. The bread on the grilled cheese was toasted to absolute perfection. And they didn't skimp on pizza toppings😋 The inside of the restaurant is cute and cozy, and the deli counter has grab and go options like muffins and bagels. The girl that placed our orders and brought us our meal was really sweet. She was patient splitting our bill between three people, no problem. Overall it was a great experience and a nice...
