Riverview Ice Cream — Restaurant in Putnam

Wasn't impressed with the service, ice cream or prices. Everyone always seem to hype up Putnam's pizza places or ice cream shops and I have yet to find one that I actually would rate above a three. Glad to see residents pride their neighborhood. I on the other hand found the portion of an ice cream scoop was small and melted when they handed it to me. I had the cookie dough ice cream in a cup and it had no flavor and 3 small cookie doughs. My friend had a sundae and it looked sloppy like they just poured hot fudge in the center, swirled whip cream on the edges and placed a cherry on top. Needless to say she paid over $7.50 for such small ice cream. They have tables to sit on with a tarp cover with holes as it was raining and every table was not suitable to sit at. Only positive side I saw was a small play...

Used to love this place for ice cream, wife and I came here all the time. Unfortunately the last few times have been a major disappointment. Brought the in laws here and myself and father in law got the peanut butter ice cream. Says "smooth creamy ribbons of peanut butter" there was NONE in either of ours, basically just vanilla ice cream. Then a second visit... We both got the cheesecake ice cream. Zero and I mean zero cheesecake flavor, just plain vanilla ice cream again. To make matters worse my wife got a vanilla shake which are usually the best but this time it was just plain vanilla liquid, nothing resembling a shake at all! Completely lost...

I went for an ice cream the other night when it was so hot, I ordered a pineapple orange ice cream, two scoops, in a cup. It came to $4.00. This ice cream is the best for miles. Even though I'm dieting, I anxiously look forward to them opening in the spring. I've been good and have gone only twice this season. Their ice cream is home made with many flavors. They also sell food which I haven't tried yet. They have a miniature golf course and sell plants which are almost gone. There is a decorative stone store there too. They sell stone. They have covered picnic tables and scattered picnic tables and places to sit everywhere. I go for...
