This was my first time here but I had been wanting to check it out for awhile, because once when I was driving by I could smell the food and it smelled delicious. The parking lot is really small, but I saw a sign that said they are expanding seems to take care of that problem. The decor is your typical Mexican restaurant with bright colors. One thing I will say is the seating seems a bit close, as when the person behind me was moving I could feel their back moving against mine, kind of weird. The food and drinks was really good. I had ground chicken street tacos, and a jumbo margarita, and that margarita was the bomb. My fiance had Camerones a la Creama, which is what he usually gets at another Mexican restaurant we frequent in Des Moines. He told me that having this dish here was better because they loaded his plate with shrimp, and at the other restaurant they only give 4 or 5 shrimp. One thing to note is that they do not accept American Express. We had a little bit of an embarrassing situation when we were paying our check. My fiance put some cash and an American Express gift card to pay and told the waitress we are all set and do not need change, and she just said "Ok" and we gathered our stuff and walked out and said thank you to the servers. As we are getting ready to drive off, what appeared to be the owner at our car window saying they do not accept American Express, so we just had to pay the difference. All in all, good experience and will be sure to come back.

We went back and it was too full they said the wait would be 40 mins so we left because we only have an hour for lunch. We went again today May 26 the wait was long, we ordered pretty quick but the wait for the food took way too long. The server young girl didn’t come back to check on us no chip refill. We had an hour and it took almost the whole hour and when we got the food it came in wrong and we didn’t have time to have it corrected so we were forced to leave without eating:/ can’t believe we spent that much time there without eating, terrible service and food came in wrong. What happened to this place? The other young girl who was running the shift was short with manners didn’t seem to have any concern for us or others walking in. We said we had to leave but no apology from either one for us not being able to eat. Do not come here if you are on lunch from work you may or may not have enough time. I hope the manager or owner contacts me regarding my last two visits here This place is a gem, not a great looking place nor a name (Fiesta Taqueria) that you would think it’s a legitimate Mexican restaurant that has great food. When I look for good place to eat I look for high ratings and look at pics but the name usually has some appeal in most case. Not here don’t be fooled, the food is really good the portions are beyond generous. Coming from Southern California where there are many great Mexican restaurants to choose from we have struggled to find a authentic food to go back to. Now I just got a Carnitas street burrito and I must say it was huge and also very tasty. I only ate a little over have. My wife got shrimp tacos which was kind of a substitute or special order which they made without any hesitation. Our server Joanne was awesome! We never had to ask for more chips or their bean dip they give you included with the chips. The margaritas were also good not too sweet nor too bitter. We live in Tacoma but will certainly be back. The dining area atmosphere needs some help, not too cozy pretty plain. Judging by the outside front of the restaurant or the inside I would normally pass but I’m glad we stopped and ate here. I recommend this place for a good hearty meal.
