The service was top-notch! Our server was amazing and knew the timing of the meal and even suggested different drinks options when items weren't available.
The atmosphere was lovely for a date night. It's cozy and intimate with a classy feel inside the restaurant.
The tables for 2 feel very small especially when ordering a flight with food. It would be nice to allow smaller parties to sit at bigger tables so it doesn't feel like we're squished. We had some close calls with almost knocking drinks on the floor because there wasn't room at the small table.
I'm spoiled with amazing steaks, but my $44 steak was just okay. The fat was hard and the steak didn't taste that great. My boyfriend's truffle burger was amazing though. We split his meal and I took my steak to-go.
They offer a variety of flights, but I'm not sure why Elijah Craig is on it? Maybe it's just preference, but EC is not great. If they did a Four Roses, Johnny Walker, Macallan or even an Argbeg scotch flight would've made it more interesting and taste better than EC.
I was so incredibly happy to see Pappy on the menu!!! However, someone bought the bottle so it was unavailable. So sad!! I first tried Pappy in Atlanta and fell in love. Sadly, it's so hard to find. Please leave the bottles for restaurant patrons to enjoy! The Weller's was enjoyable.
The Arancini appetizer was delicious.
It was nice there's a range of prices on the menu and they have a happy-hour until 5 or 5:30pm with delicious looking drinks on the menu.
They offer dessert cocktails with chocolate and espresso - a nice change from the traditional sweets. I did order the olive oil cake though. It tasted oddly like fruit cake, so it wasn't what I expected. It was still good though.
Parking isn't ideal at dinner time on a Friday night, but wasn't too terrible. We found street parking down the street and around the corner. But, this area does get busy. We got there around 5:30pm. I imagine it got busier later on, so maybe we just timed it right.
Cute place. I'm sure we...
Read moreMy friends and I went for dinner and drinks last Saturday and had a wonderful experience at Perry's! It's beautifully decorated, with a stylish mix of traditional and industrial aesthetic, making it perfect for date nights, or a night out with friends or family. Very fair pricing, and the service was fantastic! Every item we ordered, including drinks, was wonderful! We had the Perry's Paloma, Prickly in Pink, and one other drink I can't remember the name of from the happy hour menu. Not only were they pretty, but they also tasted fantastic, far better than the average cocktail you would find at most restaurants!
For starters, we had the Burrata Caprese, Fried Calamari, Crab and Artichoke Dip, and Smoked Fish Hush Puppies. I was blown away by how much flavor the tomatoes in the caprese had, and I highly recommend getting a side of bread with it! The Calamari, Crab, and Artichoke dip and Hush Puppies were all incredible as well. Not only was everything plated beautifully, but each item had wonderful flavor and perfect portions.
We got the Blackened Black Cod and Risotto, as well as the Ribeye Steak Frites for our entrees. The Black Cod was cooked absolutely perfectly, buttery and almost melts in your mouth. The risotto was also packed with flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly as well, with generous portions for both menu items.
We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! I highly recommend...
Read moreThe interior is beautiful! When you arrive you look forward to your experience. There were 6 of us in our party, celebrating a retirement. Unfortunately the service was lacking. The actual "service" was decent. The way our server spoke to us was terrible. The following are things she actually said to us.
When I requested to have my wedge salad chopped she said "The chef will decide how to serve your salad, he is very "cheffy", when you come to a place that is very cheffy, you get your food the way he wants."
One of us ordered a dirty martini. It arrived as a standard martini. When she was made aware of it she took the glass and turned to go. When she was asked to re-shake it after adding olive juice she said "We are professionals here, of course we will re-shake it."
After dumping saffron soiled flatware on one of our guest's cream colored jacket she said "Oh, that happens all the time, the flatware is top heavy." So, why doesn't she pick it off plates before removing the plate from the table to keep it from falling off????
The food was, in our server's words, VERY CHEFFY. The beet salad had no lettuce, it did have a pinch of micro greens on it. It also only had three little chunks of goat cheese. The main entree's that were order were the Chicken Saltimbocca and the Risotto. Both of those were very good. The food value ratio was on the...
