Every time I come here, I leave happy; pleased that I had made the choice to eat at Someburros that day. The staff are all top notch and Annalise (Manager) works hard at keeping customers coming back. Today I asked for some food off menu to fit my diet. Alayna and Annalise were able to find a way to charge a fair price and help me out. The easy button would have been to say no, but now I know I’ll be back again and again. I love this place. Great service. Good food.
UPDATE: Still five stars!. Annalise has move to North Mesa to open a new store and has left the very capable Taylor to manage the store. Taylor hasn't missed a beat and keeps the store looking great and the customers happy. When I go there, I am always greeted by the counter staff and they make me feel welcome. The line cooks present the food like you'd see on a menu photo. The chips and salsa are the reason most people go there anyway, but you should really try their green sauce on a cheese enchilada or a perhaps a Fundido. The shredded beef tacos never disappoint, either. I go to Someburros (too?) often for lunch and for dinner. My crew ask for it when I take them to lunch, and my family ask me to take them there for dinners on weekends. Love this place.
UPDATE 2: Still five stars. Megan is now the manager at this location, but the food and the service are top notch. Still highly recommended. Last week I was having a rough day at work and came into SomeBurros a bit cranky. It only took a minute for the team there to change my attitude. I was greeted by several of the team members (even Ramon through the line-cook window). Megan and Gracie made my day by treating me like an old friend. The chips and hot sauce alone are worth the trip. The food is just as good. But the slogan of "Auténtico Someburros Familia" is the another moving reason to go there. The people there are friendly and will do what they can to make your dining experience like you'd get with family. Highly...
Read moreUpdate July 2024: although it was a painful and time-consuming process to get the manager to email back and forth, this was eventually resolved. Thank you to Joanna the manager for caring enough to remember me and the situation, and helping resolve the issue. I’m happy to be back as a customer.
Update June 2024: the store has a major problem with gift cards and their balances. I bought a $50 gift card around Christmas time. Upon trying to use it a few days later, the cashier stated the balance was zero. She remembered me buying it and had to re-issue a different card. Recently I used the replacement card for one item and it worked. I asked the cashier to check the balance and it was accurate. Just a few days later, I ordered about $50 of food and my wife went to get it with the gift card. They told her the balance was zero and took the card from her! I called and spoke to someone who said I need to email a manager. That manager hasn’t responded (it’s only been 4 days, so I’ll see what happens). Do not trust this restaurant and staff with gift cards. What a hassle and problem that they’re literally stealing from their customers, intentionally or not. I asked they look at the purchase history on my card and they couldn’t. They won’t accept the $5 come back cards that are expired that I received when buying the gift card. (I haven’t remembered to bring the come back card even though I buy food here every week or two). Is this how you want to treat your loyal customers?!? Big deal it’s expired! Your loyal customer is now expired and not going to be a customer after many years!
Really good food that has been very consistent. Great prices compared to other chains. Pollo fundido is excellent. Carne asada quesadilla is too. Only thing they could improve on is creating some unique salsas rather than just hot sauce. Considering all it's a...
Read moreSince the drive thru started taking orders, the dine in service has declined tremendously. The counter service is very nice, however; our experience just last night with the food quality itself and the time it took to get our food wasn't acceptable. I saw the food going out for the drive thru orders as priority. We waited 25 minutes to get our food and when we got it it was cold; not even warm. The cheese quesadilla looked like it had been "dropped" on the floor. I even ended up taking the cheese crisp back and told them it didn't even look appetizing. They asked if I would like it to be remade to which I said yes, please. We then waited another 10 minutes for the remade cheese crisp all the while, they brought out one to another dining couple. That cheese crisp looked really nice. We waited another 5 minutes after that couple got their cheese crisp which should have been ours! We were finished with our cold meal by the time we got the remade cheese crisp and so disappointed because it looked like they just put some more cheese on it. It looked just as "thrown " together as the first one did! Maybe I'm just old school but when I pay for a meal at the prices that have skyrocketed, ans I am dining INSIDE the restaurant, I expect my meal to be hot and atleast look appetizing! At the very least, we should have been offered a $5.00 gift card for our wait time and the slop we were given called a cheese quesadilla. My suggestion to Some Burros restaurants, you need to make sure your dine-in customers are taken care of first! Before you started taking orders through the drive thru, your service inside was great. If I want slop Mexican food, I will go...
