I rarely write bad reviews, but think itâs necessary so others know what to expect before dining here. We made a reservation online for a Motherâs Day brunch at Eggstasy, and when we arrived they had no record of it and we had to wait (it was very very busy). This was the first frustration. I showed the email I received about the reservation and everything, but this made no difference. I heard several other families be turned away for the same reason. If you want to make a reservation here CALL them. Otherwise youâll be screwed.
We were finally sat, and I will say that our waitress was very kind but obviously overwhelmed. Drinks were forgotten, extra napkins that were requested never reached us⊠you get it.
When my bagel sandwich arrived, it looked delicious - I went to take a bite and noticed something strange on it. I pulled out a long piece of plastic that must have come from the cheese wrapper. The waitress apologized and had to refire it⊠I sat with no food while my family ate theirs and my meal came much later when everyone was basically finished.
There were small problems with the food that others ordered too- my mother in law ordered onions and green peppers with her hash browns which didnât come - minor details that normally can be overlooked until the previous mountain of problems make you even more frustrated.
Food was okay when it wasnât wrong or had plastic in it.
OverallâŠâŠ. theyâre just too...
Read moreThese hostesses here (male & female) were absolutely rude, ignored me for my quick pick up order, and was just talking about shopping with a customer. The male hostess didn't acknowledge us at all, proceeded to answer the phone (which is fine, but acknowledge us at least) and then the CUSTOMER said they can help you after about 5 minutes. Why aren't the employees doing that?! Anyways, gave them the name of the order, told them it was placed on their website, and the female employee looked at us and says "uhm I'm going to need to see your phone to prove you paid for it". There's a receipt TAPED TO THE BAG THAT SAYS PAID!!! Asked to double confirm the name like we are trying to get a free lunch here... what the hell kind of customer service is this?! We get ignored for about 5 minutes with ONE customer, then act like we're trying to get free food by double confirming the name AND asking to see my PHONE to confirm payment that is literally on the bag. Meanwhile, the male employee was holding onto the bag tightly with BOTH hands until the female looked at the phone to see we paid! This is absolutely ridiculous! Never ever ever will we return here, and have already told friends and family that they clearly judge people and assume if you're in lazy clothes that you didn't pay for it. Terrible terrible...
Read moreLet me start by saying I am looking forward to updating this review on my next visit here, unfortunately, they are experiencing some issues probably associated with being a new restaurant. It seemed understaffed, or at least undertrained. They didnât know which tables the food was going to, often walking around with a plate and just asking tables if it was theirs. Bar drinks didnât arrive to the table until we were halfway done with the meal (the table next to us, never even got theirs). One waitress poured drip coffee on my sisterâs purse while she was refilling drinks. The food was good! We had corned beef hash, salmon omelette (pictured) and Greek omelette (pictured). The pancakes were tasty, but the pancake syrup (not real maple syrup) tasted like straight up chemicals. I literally thought it had gone bad and had to stop eating my pancakes. Our waitress was all over the place at different tables, but always took care of us. Overall, the food was good, the service was bad, but Iâm hoping that improves with time. Patio is...
