Well, we went there for my sons 2 year olds birthday dinner Saturday night (08-16-25) and where do I even begin. It was AWFUL! We love Red Robin, all my kids favorite place to eat at especially for there birthday. Unfortunately we will not be back, well not to this location.
We called ahead to see if they took reservations, we had a party of 15 and we already figured they didn't take reservations on a Saturday BUT they did say we can call and give a heads up and that they can put our name down 30 min before we got there so we did, they then said when we get there to just check in at the host stand to let them know we were all there, so we did that. We told them we were gonna be there around 6:00pm... we ended up checking in at 5:33pm. It was pretty busy, we waited and waited for over a hour... while we were all waiting I had sent my daughter to go grab something from our car and when she got back she had told us that their was a worker throwing up in the back of the building everywhere. We were all definitely grossed out but I get people get sick but at least do it in private, not while customers are walking up. We unfortunately proceeded to stay considering we were already waiting over an hour to get seated. The hostess then came out and told us she can seat us but we will all be separated in a corner, we were all pretty hesitant on that but we didn't want to wait any longer so we ended up telling her that was fine. The server greeted all of us. Seemed pretty overwhelmed and definitely did not seem all that happy from the beginning, but trying to be considerate it was a busy night. The kids and their aunt sat in the corner booth, next thing you know they all stood up freaking out THERE WAS ANTS EVERYWHERE!!! All over the booth, wall, table we told our waitress immediately she apologized and told us she was gonna go let the host know, the busser at first ended up going and getting soapy water and wiping down the table while my kids and my sister in law were just standing up waiting, it seemed like they were gonna sit them back at that table after but I made sure I said I didn't want my kids sitting at a table full of Ants. The supervisor came over not Apologetic no personality seem to be a bit annoyed trying to look for a place to sit them and luckily there was a couple getting ready to leave behind us. We asked if they can just sit there and at first he said no because there were 5 of them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Then told us it was gonna be a fire hazard if more than four people sat at that booth. So We ended up having one of the kids sit at our table. After the couple got up the kids and sister in law sat at the table but then GOT UP AGAIN QUICKLY because there was ANTS ALL around that table as well! At this point we wanted to leave, I wanted to cancel all the orders that we literally put in 5 min ago, and when I said something to the waitress and supervisor they acted like they got upset and basically told us "that they cant do that" WHAT??? We ended up staying unfortunately. The kids and my sister in law had to WAIT FOR ANOTHER TABLE TO GET UP TO SIT DOWN. Standing there Waited for about 5-8 min then a table got up ON THE OTHER SIDE!!! Not close to our party at all. They ended up sitting there. Our food took forever to come out, the waitress then started to bring out everyone in the party food out separately. All at different times, and EVERYTHING WAS ICE COLD and DISGUSTING! We told the waitress and she understood. Took care of us, apologetic, asked if we would like anything else we told her no we don't want to wait any longer. She ended up removing ONLY ONE item. Never did a manager come and talk to us, never did we get any sort of discount with the experience we had, absolutely nothing mean while the supervisor was on a hunt tearing the booth apart looking for ants all in front of everyone. Just terrible OVERALL IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Such a disappointment....
Read moreI have not been here in nearly two years and after tonight, I'm not sure if I will be back. First, the blond girl who checked us in was very friendly so I appreciate that. We were told it would be a 20-minute wait. After I noticed other people going before us, I saw it had been 30 minutes, so my wife approached a dark-haired girl (with dark glasses and wearing gloves) who then stated she had called our name 45 minutes ago. We had only been there 30 minutes and they never called us. I did notice she was taking pictures on her phone, so I guess she just missed us. We were sitting 4 feet from the desk, so I know she didn't call us. Not even an apology for missing us, but instead she lies to try and cover it up? Just admit the mistake, apologize, and move on. Even a tall male coworker, possibly a manager, came to the front and acknowledged we had not been there 45 minutes as no one waited that long. We still had to continue waiting, so it was a total of 40 minutes before getting a table. The sitting area to the left had food all over the floor, so the appearance was far from professional. However, it was kinda busy, so perhaps they don't clean during service. As soon as we sat down, there were 3 total kids, one right next to us, who were screaming. The kid next to us was at least 6 and was nonstop crying, so the grandmother eventually had to remove the child. The parents didn't try to console the child or try to remove the child. I would assume the staff would always do something as multiple tables were not happy with the kid. It was super hard to hear inside. Our server was nice made some suggestions on food, and checked in frequently. She was the one bright spot of the evening. The food was ok, at best. I had asked for pink on my burger, but it was completely well done. I had to pull off the burned char, but inwasnt going to wait any longer than I had to. I ate about half before I just gave up. The aioli sauce had a weird taste to it, but the sautéed mushrooms and onions helped to cover it up. My granddaughter got a pizza and it was dry as well. She only ate one piece and then didn't want to eat the rest. We stopped on the way home to get food from a drive-through. The only saving grace was that my wife had her birthday reward, so we only paid about $40. I know my grandkids like going there, but I won't be back again. Just not a good...
Read moreI ordered a specialized dinner salad with 6 hard-boiled eggs. It cost me $20. There were maybe two eggs but it seemed like less. When I picked it up, I said it felt a lot lighter than usual. But, the preparer put all 8 of my dressing containers covering the entire salad, so I couldn't really see underneath without removing them all in my car. When I got home and took all the dressings off, I scooted my entire salad to the side and (besides the lack of eggs) it was half of a salad. One half was the normal amount and the other half was an empty container. I normally can't eat the entire thing. But, I was able to eat it all and was still hungry afterward. I weigh 115lbs.
I called to speak to the manager and he was great. He took the blame saying he should've checked it before letting it leave the restaurant. But, he shouldn't have to check a simple salad order. Everything was listed, clearly on the ticket. He shouldn't have to micromanage anyone making a salad with lettuce, cheese, avocado, and egg.
Regardless, I have a replacement salad order waiting for me when I'm ready for another, correct one.
What gets me is, how hard is it to truly FILL a dinner salad dish with lettuce, cheese, avocado, and 6 eggs? That's it. That was my entire order. Less than half the lettuce, the cheese was ok I guess, they got the avocado right, and 3x+ fewer eggs than the ticket stated. 6 does not look like a 1 or 1.5 I just don't understand it.
The girl who brought me my order was awesome. She was sweet and we had a great conversation. She's one of the seemingly few who understands that common sense is an oxymoron....
