Darcy's Village Pub — Restaurant in Quincy

I love going to this place, and we always enjoy the food, service, except today I request a glass of water with lemon, and the waitress brought me a plastic cup with water and lemon, sorry I don'tdrink water in a plastic cup, so nicely I ask her to change it to a glass , and she was polite, no problem, but next to us was sitting two elderly couple that since we walk in they were very upset because we sit in the next table, and as I was asking the young lady for a regular glass ,this older lady was talking trush about me, and the fellow who was sitting next to me though that because we are Spanish,we couldn't speak English, he respond the lady that Ibwas trush, I respect people, we are educated, and I didn't said what they deserve to be told ,because my parents educated me, I was raised here in Massachusetts, and probably have more manners than this old cauple, they show their true color, racist, think they own every space in the earth, shame on them, if they are so afraid of Spanish people they should not go out of their shell, I been living in Massachusetts for 55 yrs. I don't need to feel uncomfortable in any public place because of few pigeons that cannot leave at home their racism, they are ridiculous, we are in 2023 United State is not only for morons like them, the restaurant is nice, and service is great, probably this young girl is new, don't know what happen, she was nice , but like always there are people that shoyld mind there...

I would not be ordering from here online there online ordering system is not straight forward. This is why I just stick to DoorDash or Uber eats. I called right after I pressed charge to my card to say things didn't look right and was told they were not 1) part of my order was missing causing my order to be under 25 since I now only had one thing ordered 2) it was listed as a pick up I stated I wanted two things could I please add the second I had trouble navigating the site and it was supposed to be delivery I called two seconds after I pressed pay and I was told NO u can't add the item to order and u can change it to delivery even if u pressed pick up on accident she stated "I can cancel... but I can't cancel it till the morning so your card will have to be charged till then we can't refund you until tomorrow morning because no one who's here knows how to do it" I told her "I have no way to eat dinner then that money was going towards food" and I was told "yep I'll let them know."

There is no reason when a restaurant who takes phone orders could not have processed my order as a delivery and added the item that some how didn't go through. Awful customer service on top of it I told her I work tomorrow and can't be on the phone and she told me that I had no other option but...

Maybe this place is better as a local watering hole, but the food/“pub fare” was awful and the service was not much better. The nachos were a joke and missing some items, the shepards pie was also missing key ingredients and resembling an overpriced plate of cat food. Our waitress was pretty much invisible and inattentive, seemed flustered even though it was not that busy. We also overheard one of the waitresses in the back chatting/complaining to a coworker and mocking one of her customers requests for a fresh hot coffee, and this was because the customer was waiting so long for the waitress to reappear and provide some cream and sugar. That was so incredibly rude and maybe she thought she was was talking quietly enough but she certainly wasn’t. Would never come back...
