I had a terrible experience there today. So first I get two medium coffees that have maybe a sip of coffee in it cuz they're so full of ice, two bacon egg and cheese on Plain Bagels with extra bacon. They are both ice cold an uncooked bacon so my husband kindly brings his coffee and I see images back up and ask for a little more coffee he took some ice out and for hot food which isn't too much to ask since we're paying for it and we would like our hot sandwiches to be hot. So the very rude employee by the name of kimberly made the sandwiches over and the were so hot i couldnt even touch it nevermind eat it. Now that's all well and fine i rather it to hot than cold. So i decided to open the sandwich to cool it off quicker since i have a 6 year old and 3 month old with me who isnt going to want to sit there for 45 min while i wait to eat my food since i would have to wait a very long time for my boiling hot food to be eatable. I then realize there isn't extra bacon on it. And while they were remaking them my husband asked if they had extra bacon on them... Kimberly said they did. Which wasnt the case and ahe tried to tell me that a bacon egg and cheese sandwich only gets 1 slice of bacon, which i know isn't true because i worked for Dunkin donuts (one also owned by the same people as this one). Now she then says well you didnt even pay for it. I ordered my food with extra bacon and kimberly decided to not charge me for it which isnt my problem ... Yet she thinks that justified her not giving me extra bacon. But after she lied 2 times about my sandwich i asked for my money back. Which she was extremely rude and ignorant about doing. She then starta complaining about us and how we asked for what we paid for to be done correctly and we were very nice about it. She told me that we were rude and drank the coffee then asked for me which wasnt the case and then took my money and literally threw it at me. I have been in the this field of work for 14 years. I understand when things are busy and how fast you have to be in this business. But there was one couple sitting down and 1 other person in front of my family. And at least 3 employees working. You do not have a drive thru. Theres no excuse for my food being cold and no matter how busy it can be theres never an excuse for being rude and throwing my refunded money at me. Further, I’ve gone to this Dunks many times over the past few years, it’s 24/7, and usually they’re pretty good and a good place to do studying and drink coffee with the WiFi. That’s why this is 3 stars and not less. Here’s the issue though. I often see a lack of initiative and apathy from the employees there. Let me give an example. This past Saturday, I do an order ahead. We get there, find the coffee, but not the bagels. It’s not too busy in there, yet my wife and I wait 10 min before asking where’s the bagels. This female worker with dark hair and glasses is like we don’t have any bagels. And I get that, but if you saw an order that you couldn’t fulfill, would you think “hey, those two sole people waiting may have ordered the bagels, perhaps I should tell them we’re out.” Nope. Not from her. Anyway, we say we will have muffins instead. The lady says “ok, I’ll be right back.” 5 min in, I’m like “what’s up?” She’s like “I’m toasting your muffins” and I see her with a tray of English muffins. Hello!? Did I say English muffins?? We eventually got real muffins each 20 min after arriving at the store. Look, it’s a Saturday morning. The store isn’t that busy. I’d expect a little bit more initiative by the employees. This place has wasted so many hours of my time by making me wait for simple orders.
The reason I’m writing this because this time they Made me wait for 20 minutes for hash browns and called me “this man” multiple times while other people were called by proper pronouns.
The person that entered after me just took the hash browns and left before me.
I was asked for ticket and a receipt for my purchases which I do not take.
The guy that rang me was right there and just kept quiet until he was asked if I had hash browns in my order.
They did not just stop there. Lied on my face that they haven’t done hash browns for a while so its not possible that someone else took it. Positive side, i did receive my drinks quickly but waited for hb for 20 minutes.
