Came here out of curiosity and saw great reviews on Google Maps. Am glad to say that we were super impressed with the food (brunch) and service – it exceeded our expectations and will definitely be coming back for brunch (again) and to try the dinner menu items.
Mini-Mac Sliders ($12) – appetizer – fried pickle, pepper jack cheese, shredded lettuce, garlic-thyme aioli, potato bun. Basically two mini double-patty burgers on a dish. The meat was SUPER juicy with strong flavors and well-seasoned. Would definitely recommend and get it again.
Steak burrito ($15) – brunch item – sliced tri-tip, hash browns, corn-black bean salsa, avocado, cotija, pickled serrano, scrambled egg. Burrito was super stuffed with ingredients and very filling. It was mainly stuffed with scrambled egg and it could have used more meat (tri-tip). Couldn’t taste any of the hash brown. The salsa and pickled serrano was a fabulous nice touch because it gave the breakfast burrito a nice kick – just a hint of spiciness but nothing hot. Also came with a side of fresh, juicy, ripe fruit.
Sweet Potato Pulled Pork Hash ($15) – brunch item – diced sweet potato, diced peppers, onions, gold fever pulled pork, poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise, scallions. Everything about this dish was fabulous – maybe the sweet potatoes could have been a little bit more tender but the flavors were spot on. I’m usually not a fan of hashes since the pork tends to be dry but the pork here was super tender and flavorful – I actually wished there was more on the plate. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and would burst at the poke of a knife. The hollandaise tasted good. And there was the perfect amount of sauce in the hash to cover the entire dish – not too much that the food was swimming in it and not too little that the sweet potatoes were dry. There were not a lot of diced peppers or onions but nothing deal-breaking. Would definitely recommend and get it again.
Apple Cinnamon French Toast ($14) – brunch item – apple pie filling, salted caramel cream cheese, maple syrup. Extremely delicious and a perfect dish to satisfy your sweet tooth. It wasn’t too overly sweet (to the point that your teeth would ache) as well which was relieving. Slices of baked caramel apples were placed in between 3 pieces of French toast as well as piled on top. The maple syrup was already drizzled all over the French toast and plate (but I’m sure you can ask in advance to have it on the side). Loved the fact that the French toast was actually moist and had an eggy-custard filling. Most places tend to have dry French toast with barely any custard but this did not disappoint. Prob the only complaint would be to make the toast itself thicker. The toast looked look your average-size white bread. Would definitely recommend and get it again.
Coffee – not bitter and comes in an average size black mug.
Wait time for food wasn’t too bad – maybe 15 min during COVID-19 times (i.e. when the restaurant is half full). Waiter was extremely sweet and came by several times to ask if we needed anything. Management was also there making sure food and service was on-top of it and to make sure customers were happy. All employees wore masks and respected the COVID-19 restaurant guidelines – there were also plastic see-through guards between each booth. There were several TV screens showing sports facing many directions so you will always be able to see at least 1 TV screen wherever you sit. Place was cozy and had a...
Read moreWe’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed it. The last visit? Not so much. First of all it was ridiculously loud ( there were a group of women celebrating a birthday- good god they were loud!!). Secondly, I ordered a coffee drink with Bailey’s and Frangelico. As I was supping I thought it tasted a tad “ off”, but thought it was just my tastebuds were off as I had recently had a cold. When I got to the bottom, I was CERTAIN that something wasn’t right. I asked the bartender if she or her co-worker made the drink. It was her co-worker. I asked if she made it with Baileys and Frangelico- her response was “ no, we don’t have Frangelico, so we used Amaretto instead” - a HUGE no-no for so many reasons! Third, they used to have the best wings with a choice of marinades or rubs- now they have 1 flavor wings- Firehouse- ours were SO overcooked and dry and to top it off, I believe that, because they were cooked beyond recognition, the kitchen tried to hide that by rolling them in the dry rub after they were cooked, so they were like eating a shoe which was rolled in soot and ashes. TERRIBLE. So, our last experience was very underwhelming and we’ll think twice before returning. Sad because we really did...
Read moreedit: Elaborate? Sure thing! This is a shady business with an owner who employees hide from when he is on the property. The GM is unprofessional. The food is overpriced.
It's too bad, because there are great people who have worked here and have been treated poorly by mismanagement and unfair work practices such as hiring people knowing they have a seasonal obligation and then firing them despite agreeing to a set availability. Start respecting your employees 👍
There are too many other businesses in the area that deserve your money. Liberty isn't one of them. Try Dotty's or Fowler!
SECOND EDIT: Nick has the email where I plainly stated my availability through May 22nd before being offered a position. I coached a high school baseball team for a month and then would be available full-time. Nick and his GM violated those terms and are now lying about it. I never missed a shift. I made it to work after every practice and game just as I stated I would in the interview.
Nick is a bad owner who has no interest in finding out what actually happens when his employees are mistreated. He is, however, willing to lie and disparage them online for daring to leave a review.
Seriously, eat...
