Yuni's Avenue Cafe — Restaurant in Racine

02/02/2020 update. Giving Yuni's 3 🌟 stars for quality, reasonably priced food and superior service. I dropped 2 stars because of the facility, administration and sanitation. Group of 3 adults and a baby today. My wife ordered scrambled eggs and Italian toast. My daughter ordered the chorizo omelette and I ordered a mini kielbasa skillet. The small restaurant was full but our food came quick and hot. My daughter took half of her meal home even with her 15 month old son helping her eat her meal. The bill was about $23.00 including beverages. Besides the food and service, there is nothing about this restaurant that "pop's". In fact, it's rather drab and it's obvious that things are done on the cheap. Look at my menu picture. I noticed one of the cooks with a full facial beard and no covering of the beard as required by code. I spoke with the owner about the uncovered beard and told him I would give him the opportunity to correct the situation so I wouldn't need to contact the health department. 🤠👍 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 You've got to check this out. Kelly, our server, has been at this location for 28 years. She has seen generations come and go. There really are no bells and whistles unless you want to consider Kelly, our server, bells and whistles. If you did, you would be doing yourself a favor. My ribeye and eggs breakfast was very satisfying. My wife had waffles and eggs, she was satisfied. My granddaughter had the grilled cheese and fries, she was satisfied. This establishment has had several incarnations with the same name. it's won the best breakfast in Racine county for several years. And Kelly has won best server in the county 9 years running. This is definitely one of our go to’s when we want a hearty breakfast and not a huge crowd or bill. The waitresses are consistent and friendly. They know the menu inside and out and you always get what you want, as requested. We went around 930 on a Sunday morning and had a great time as far as crowds. The food is always delicious and very fairly priced. I would recommend this cute spot. As a reminder, they are currently only excepting cash, but have an ATM in the lobby for your convenience
