Amedeo's has been a family staple. It started with my husband's grandparents. Of course we are all State fans so that helps! I've never had a bad meal here. Tonight they hit it out of the park. It's hard to get anywhere that will accommodate our family. We are loud. There is a lot of us. Tonight we had almost 20. Their were kids running around. We all arrived in shifts. The private rooms are great for large parties. They are very accommodating. I was able to call and make reservations the day before. In the past, we have made it day of. Now let me tell you about Marquel. He is by far one of the best servers I've ever had. Our drinks never were empty. He is one of the most personable servers. Always has a smile on his face. Landon also helped us and he was great too. Don't get me wrong....we just really like Marquel. The state memorabilia is also awesome. Jessica, the manager, asks how we are doing when we come in. She is generally at the front of the house. The last few times we have come she walks around the check on all the customers. We were there for my step daughters 12th birthday. Thank you to all who made it easy, enjoyable and so good!

Awesome server tonight who handled us well (traveled 5 hours with a 2 year. old grandson). He had lots of energy and we were seated in a remote area so we wouldn't disturb other patrons (our request). She took her time as we had a mini family reunion Anyways on to the food. I had the Amedios pasta deluxe (pic attached) and it was filling. I didn't realize I had a choice of the noodle type, sauce type, and extras. It was very hot when placed at the table and served in a double dish due to the heat of the plates Others had pizza, Chicken parmesan, meat lovers calzone, and pasta carbonara. The desert was Canolis. This was the hit of the evening and was quite yummy. Also, due to the time appetizers were half off. One item to be aware of is if you have 6 or more in your party they automatically add a 20% gratuity. This may or may not be to your liking but just be aware. In our case it didn't cover what I wanted to tip the server as she spent a lot of time with the 10 year old granddaughter discussing just things. She was great with the kids. We will be back. Be aware that if you have never been here it is a NC State sports themed Italian restaurant.

I have to say that the ambience for a sports restaurant, it was very different from what I initially expected. We sat in one of the tiny booths and had great service after we were seated! I really enjoyed the Pack pasta and my friend ordered the eggplant Parmesan which was very good too. We were surprised to see a cannoli in desserts and happy to try it out. I think it was pretty decent in taste and presentation, it was only my second time having one and I had one of the bests for my first time. One little thing we were annoyed about is while we were waiting to be seated, another couple came in and they were taken straight to a table instead of us to one of the small booths, I am sure it wasn’t reserved and we just didn’t see why that would happen. Anyway, will definitely check this place out again! The food was yummy and the quantity and service was worth the price!

OK, so let’s talk about it. Granted Amedos has been on the west side of Raleigh for several years. I have been going to this restaurant since 2005 . I had everything from the calamari to the garlic bread to the drinks right down to the chicken Alfredo and one of my son. My late son‘s favorite was the spaghetti and meatball. The restaurant is a nice atmosphere. It has a warm and cozy feel if you’re looking for a great spot to watch sports to have a drink almost like that old saying let’s go where everybody knows your name. That was a type of place that I remembered Amedeos to be ! It was my late grandmother‘s favorite place to go and get her pasta from and lasagna. She always said it reminded her of New York the sauce anyway. Amedeo’s was definitely a restaurant that was my go to especially back in the day when I wasn’t making that much money, but I wanted to make sure my children had somewhere nice to go and eat. Amedos was always the restaurant to be at let’s fast forward to today. The wings are not as I remember them to be although they have a good taste to them slightly spicy, but not as spicy as I remember them being and the sauce doesn’t taste the same it kinda gives me the feel of they switched Owners so the original owner in 2005 is no longer there. I’m assuming I can tell by the way the food taste I did arrive where I normally arrive at in front of the bar area. I’ll lock my car door and because it’s not located in the safest of neighborhoods, I walk into the bar area and I asked the gentleman can I pick up my order from here he proceeds to tell me no or First he states have you paid for it I tell him no then I proceed to give him my last name, then he states no I can’t bring the order around to you, but you’ll have to go all the way over to the other door to pick up your food and pay. I ran slightly and I left out and walked around the corner now back in the day it didn’t matter where you picked up your food. It didn’t matter where you paid for your food as long as the food was being paid for a meeting. Was that type of restaurant where anyone was welcome not saying it’s like that today but when I walked in, I didn’t see a lot of people who resembled me except for one guy who was sitting down in the front by the door with the NC state shirt on looking like he was ready to leave up out of in other words, this man of color looked like he was over it! The gentleman who took my money at the other side of the media’s seem to be very welcoming very nice clean, cut smell good as well. The other gentleman that was over in the bar was already at the other side of the restaurant before I entered into the door with a slick grin he gave me an uneasy feeling as if I wasn’t welcome there. I never felt that way before about Amedos ever I’ve done several restaurant reviews for several places. This is actually my second page for reviews. I handed the very nice gentleman the $50 bill. He breaks the change and hand me my money back no normally I’m really good at leaving tips but this time I chose not to I didn’t feel welcome . Amedeos definitely did not feel like home to me anymore. I’m not sure if the neighborhood behind them make them feel as if people of color are the same way, but everyone’s not the same to me used to be family, fun drinks, and all of the above I even rented out the both in the back for my family one year after my son passed away they were very welcoming in and again it feels like the restaurant has changed Owners. The meal cost me $23.82 but average for an order of 12 wings and fries for this day and age anyway if you want to check out a media you can visit them on Western Boulevard right across the street from the Food Lion and the Taco Bell. Enjoy your Sunday that was my bill...

First off, it pays if you're a North Carolina State Wolfpack fan. Amedeos is in the heart of Wolfpack country, less than a mile off campus. I began going as a student athlete hungry for homestyle cooking in 1976 when Mr.D was alive. His daughter Wendy took over years later. The food has not been better than this last trip and really never changed over the years. They knew what worked and was delicious and remained true to the recipes!. It has always had the smell, taste and atmosphere of an Italian ristorante and if all you care about is yor palate, then go. You will be well fed and treated. I always sit in the wrestling team booth if available and my picture was there at one time. There are sections for every Wolfpack athletic team there ever was. They have expanded since my first visit 50 years ago but they remain what they were, a true hometown gem. Priced for students with well portioned entrees, you cannot leave less than full and happy. There is a bar for the big games as well as very comfortable booths. I will continue to take a meal there everytime I go to Raleigh and time permits. It is wheelchair accessible and that means I'll go as long as they can wheel me in. Did I mention the food was THAT good? This last trip, I had an old favorite - manicotti. My grandmother made it the best in the world and for the life of me, I dont know how they got her recipe! With sides and a drink, I paid less than twenty bucks. Don't forget to tip. The service is top notch. She checked on me often enough, I was tempted to ask her to join. Not intrusive, but always right on time. And lovely too. Treat yourself to good, genuine Italian food in a red and white heaven. Go Pack! ...

I want to take a moment and let the world know how amazing this restaurant truly is. Not just because the food is killer, but because of their excellent management and overall staff! They are very accommodating with seating a large group and even willing to work with a group when adjustments were needed. The staff is attentive and provided outstanding customer experience. I have visited this place often when attending a close by university and loved it. After I moved home, I made trips to visit friends and always made a special stop. When my sister began attending the same university, I shared my love for this restaurant. She began visiting it like I had.

Today was no exception. We celebrated my sisters official graduation and my birthday. Sadly, it was interrupted with a very exuberant group. Unfortunately, this exuberance became overwhelming to the area we were seated. After being asked to lower their voices they did not and began getting louder. Thankfully, this wonderful management and staff promptly adjusted seating in order to allow for our quiet celebration to not be interrupted by their intoxication. The members of the staff apologized for the other group's actions while continuing to provide a wonderful dining experience for my family and I. Even after a few of these group's members attempted to come over and put a damper on our evening, the staff ensured we were able to enjoy our meal in a positive and safe environment.

I can't tell you how much this meant to my family and I. Thank you again for your attentiveness and dedication to your positive atmosphere. We truly enjoyed ourselves and are already planning...
