Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Raleigh

Unbelievable. . . .9 of us went to Caribou Coffee on Friday night, Sept 23 at 9:30 after we had dinner. Caribou closes at 10 PM on Friday nights- when we pulled up, the employees scurried to the back. . . .the lights were on, but the doors were locked. . .we tried all 3 doors to no avail- I then proceeded to call the store number and the call was answered and then the phone hung up- there were other people sitting outside at the tables and said that "the employees were just there??!!" We waited for a few minutes, then the lights went out- we could see the employees in the kitchen area- then an employee appeared from the back, came to the door and said an employee had gotten sick and they had to close early?? The counter and prep area had obviously been cleaned up and was spotless. . . Then the lights came back on, all three employees came out of the kitchen area and headed out the back to their cars and left, leaving us speechless. . . Maybe the owner needs to learn of this. . .we then went to Starbucks which was...

I’ve been to this location a bunch of times. I usually order on the app park in the back run in grab my latte and run back. Today we walked in because my boyfriend got was getting his haircut. There was a short line that moved pretty quick. I ordered and took a seat by the window. Our order was ready pretty quickly. We got a great seat by the window, I drank my latte and ate my chocolate chip cookie, my daughter ate her bagel and my son sat in the provided high chair. My iced latte is usually really really good. Today it wasn’t as good as usual and honestly I can’t pin point why. I would’ve loved to order on the app but the app doesn’t have liquid sugar so even when I order on the app I have to ask the barista to add liquid sugar at the pick up counter. We sat at the table for a bit and it’s really nice in there. The baristas are always really friendly and helpful. Bonus: the bathrooms are always clean. Definitely a five-star coffee shop!! Staff was super friendly and offered me water when I came in, even though they didn't accept Apple pay/Google pay. Obviously I still got a drink, and the selection was slightly overwhelming.. I think it'd be nice to have more attention to ingredients and less emphasis on the titles... I for one am never interested in what my drink is called 😂 but then again someone might!! I like to know what's going in my drink since I have so many food allergies. Perhaps I would have gone with something more if I had known it had milk or not in the ingredients. OTHERWISE this might be in my top five coffee shops!! The whole place is warm and cozy!! they had nice clean bathrooms, plenty of seating with chairs that have great backs. They also have leather couches for individual seating and for couples seating. There's a nice cozy fireplace and the whole shop was decorated for Christmas!! Five Star for overall coffee shop quality and...
