I recently had the pleasure of dining at Carolina Ale House, for the first time, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of fantastic. Read moreMe and my friend decided to go out on a Sunday night to get us a little drink and get a little bite to eat. It took us 30 minutes to get our food our bartender Daija was a very rude individual as soon as she sat us down she asked us did we know what we want? We responded politely and said no not yet so my friend tells me what she wants and says she’s going to run to the bathroom. My friend takes at least 10 minutes in the bathroom not once did daija come back to ask if I was ready or anything my friend comes back we wave her down. We tell her what we would like to have. She makes my drink makes my friends drink and I’m not sure when she put our order in because it took 30 minutes for my French salad to come out, while my friend was waiting on her salad, I ordered fried pickles. Those pickles took 20 minutes to come out so after she brings those out I jokingly say, do you think they were going to give us a discount for waiting to 20 and 30 minutes for salad and pickles she rolls her eyes and walks off and ignores me. I got very angry I asked for the manager the manager than comes and shows me a picture basically stating that I’m lying about the time that it took for our orders to come out. I tell him she must’ve put them in late or something. He tells us that our food was brought out in a timely manner, and that they would not be giving us any discounts then hands me and my friend a card and tells us to write a review on the lady in which I’m doing right now so then I ask him if he could get our receipts for us so that we can go ahead and pay so he gives the receipts which already has a tip added to it I said no please take that off so he takes it off and then comes back and proceeds to tell me to please do this review it would help him so much meanwhile I’m not being helped at all. He tells me I’m going to talk to her about her attitude but not give discounts or credit us anything for the fact that we waited 30 minutes for a salad and 20 minutes for...
Read moreIf you want to see a game on sundays go somewhere else. The service was terrible. The manager was incompetent, he went to the back to hide when we asked to speak to him. Food was less than average. The Carolina game sound was on so loud it gave me a headache. When the game was over some irrelevant show was on and the sound blasted. It wasn’t fixed until I begged the bartender to get it turned down.
If you want good food, good service, seating near your game, go somewhere else.
I read other reviews where an email address was given to the reviewer. So I wrote the following email and when I hit send, it said it was not a valid email. So I’m posting it below.
9-22-19 We had a party of 4 who needed two different games. Eventually we got the games so we could sort of see them. The waitress asked us if we got our games and then ignored the other couple who were at the next table. They had finally gotten their game. The waitress didn’t look at that couple and was going to turn the station from their game until we said “no they finally got their game”. She looked back at them with disgust and walked away.
Floor and table were sticky. The bathroom was disgusting as well.
Food was barely palatable.
Waitress was most inattentive.
When the Carolina game was over (the game with sound), something non football was on and the sound stayed on so loudly it gave us a headache. We did ask bartender to “turn it down please”, eventually it was.
We wanted to make manager aware of these issues but when we asked to speak to him he went to the back to hide and was unavailable.
This place should be reported to the health dept.
It needs a DEEP CLEANING, a new manager who knows how to manage a football Sunday and waiters who are respectful of patrons.
