While walking to work today in downtown Raleigh and saw the sign and looked in this morning while and I decided to try it for dinner.
That was a very good decision.
They have a nice menu, they serve authentic and modern favorites for very reasonable prices especially for March 3, 2025.
Great decor and I had plenty of room in the area where I sat. Very clean bathroom and I appreciate that, especially in a busy city. Same for every area and empty seat I could see in the whole establishment. I received prompt service and very fast they were ready in maybe 3 minutes and gone in about 6 minutes :)
They offer a full bar with 9 taps. They were only offering 2 draft beers tonight. So I got a Modelo, the other choice was a local.
They have a house drink (in the photo) I saw the mug and had to try it! It's rimmed with tajin and the drink is a cousin of the Paloma.
Tequila, grapefruit and orange juice with grapefruit soda and the little pebble ice pieces that you aren't supposed to chew.
OK shut up already, what did you get? Tell us!!
I get it that was a lot.
I got one pastor and one lengua and they were awesome!!
There's a salsa bar with 2 mild and one spicy. There's a warning sign and it has seeds visually present (usually a sign that's the spicy one) They also have the traditional diced white onion, radish slices, cilantro, lime wedges and cucumber if you would like those things.
I'm coming back tomorrow before I leave town.
I highly recommend giving them a visit if you are...
Read moreI was at this location on 8/6/25 and it was my second time coming to this restaurant. The first time was great, this time not so much. Both times I ordered the chicken quesabirria combo. On my last visit when I ordered I wasn't asked if I wanted beef or chicken so it completely slipped my mind to tell her chicken. After maybe 30-45 seconds I approached the counter and told her that I forgot to say I wanted chicken in my quesabirria. She said that wasn't a problem then yelled to the cook to make it chicken. I heard the cook curse in Spanish then saw him start cooking chicken. I received my meal, ate it, everything was good. Later on in the day I got terrible stomach pains, diarrhea, cold chills, and was unable to sleep all night. These symptoms lasted almost 24 hours and I ended up missing work the next day. I assume that the chicken ended up being undercooked because all my symptoms were that of food poisoning or salmonella. This review is just to bring awareness to the staff and make sure you're properly cooking and preparing your food, especially chicken, because you can seriously make people sick. I most likely will not dine at this...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to try this place since the last 2 times I’ve visited Raleigh, the food is good and the drinks were great! However, the customer service is awful. The woman who took our order was nice. Our whole visit there was 2 younger girls that I’m not completely sure what they’re job was but they were just standing there talking the whole time. Tables would leave and they would just stand there, & not bother to wipe down the tables. Then towards the end of our stay one of the girls grabbed my sister’s arm on our way out and told her to “clean up her trash”. No where in the restaurant does it state to clean up after yourself. As an experienced server, host, and team lead in several restaurants, I would personally not just stand around and do nothing during my shift. If I’m getting paid to do my job, I’m gonna make sure the restaurant is clean, make sure they guests are enjoying...
