I had Very Very bad Experience With Filter easy. At the beginning of their Entry in to the market, the promised to offer First order Free and they never done to me saying it was used by some other in the same household. Common how can someone do that. IT MEANS THEIR PROMOTIONS ARE NOT TRUE ALWAYS, DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THAT UNTIL YOU ORDER AND GOT WAIVED. after series of call i left to god and stopped arguing with them on the free promotion of first order and began subscription with them. From the Second subscription onward i started receiving the less filters than what i ordered and in two shipments i got completely different sizes than what i ordered and 3 times the package by FEDEX showing as delivered however it was not delivered and FE is mentioned they are not responsible for that. Being busy MOM and we forget to call and when we call their CUSTOMER CARE PHONE NUMBER IS NOT WORKING ALWAYS ( WE CALLED ALMOST 100 TIMES both me and Husband), and finally WE Closed our CREDIT CARD.
NOW THE MAGIC HAPPENS, now they called from their phone number saying Card was declined for next order to ship, I asked where are you guys until now how come someone can not respond on the phone number provided in the website and always goes to voice mail or blank and receive a call from company when the card is not working. Seems to think of and it is BEST WAY TO GO LOCAL AND BUY LOCAL STORES instead of being TRAPPED INTO THE SUBSCRIPTION.
THE SHIPPING BOX IS VERY UTTER QUALITY and the FEDEX transfer them sometimes to USPS and usps deliver it sometimes on behalf of FEDEX.
THE FILTERS COME IN THAT THIN Shipping BOX ( they make thin to avoid shipping weight) always get damaged and no way to reach the customercare unless you receive the call from them.
Literally after all these days also they didn't refunded my money... and I disputed in Bank...
Read moreWe’ve been using this company since they were “Filter Easy” (probably 7+ years). Honestly one of the best decisions I made way back when. It really helped us change out our filter each month at a reasonable cost. The company has since been bought out or “changed their name” and with that brought a few changes that have left us pretty dissatisfied:
Change in packaging - no plastic wrap anymore and a much less sturdy box. This has caused MULTIPLE filters to be damaged in shipping. We never had this problem with “Filter Easy”
Change in quality of product - the filters aren’t as sturdy as they were. I think this also contributes to damage in shipping.
Not labeled which MERV they are - not a big deal, but you pay more for a better grade. Again, nothing is packaged. It just thrown in a cardboard box. I have no idea if I’m really getting what I pay for.
Higher Cost - we’re ok with paying more if the product is worth it. At this point, I’d be better off ordering in bulk on Amazon. The service doesn’t justify the cost any longer.
Think before you order from this company. It used to be GREAT but isn’t any longer. They’ll blame it on environmental choices, “a few slip ups” in handling, etc. etc. etc., but the simple fact is that additional packaging and ensuring that they’re putting out a quality product isn’t worth the profits they’d lose. I will no longer feed the greed.
2 stars because I still like the idea of this type of subscription. Execution is...
Read moreThe service is a rip-off. They charge close to $20 for one ($39+ for 2) of their SuperAllergen filters, the same filters that can be purchased on Amazon or in home improvement stores for less than $20 per pair (or buy a pack of 12 for $140, which would cost $240 with the FilterEasy service). In short, they are charging an extra $20 for a filter change reminder service.
That was my free shipment, when I received pre-packaged filters. For my first paid shipment, I was sent two unwrapped, nondescript filters that don't have the Merv rating printed anywhere on them. So even though I pay for the highest quality filter, it's a mystery to me if that's what I received. Something tells me they send name-brand filters as the freebie to inflate the value. Then, when the customer is hooked, they start sending the mass-produced, unmarked filters that probably cost little to nothing to produce.
Cancelling your subscription is anything but easy. Instead of having a simple button in your account (like they do for everything else), they force you to call them and get the hard sell to remain a subscriber. And for some reason, they say cancellation requests take up to two days to process. You can add to your subscription until the cows come home. But want to cancel? They give you extra hoops to jump through.
My advice is to avoid this service and just put a note on your calendar to buy...
