I went to this location to grab a quick snack and honestly, I left pissed off. I ordered a yogurt parfait and a side of bacon. The bacon was fine, but the “yogurt” parfait? Absolutely disgusting. It wasn’t yogurt, it tasted like straight-up cream cheese, or worse, expired yogurt. It was thick, chunky, and nasty. Completely NASTY!
I went back to the counter to ask if I was given the wrong item or made a mistake while ordering - the glass definitely said YOGURT! The young lady at the register insisted she’d get me another one. I explained that the texture was way off and showed her. She went to the back, came out, and told me it was “whipped yogurt.” Are you kidding me? I’ve had whipped yogurt before, and this wasn’t even close. It was straight garbage.
And then to top it off, she didn’t offer a refund or even a different item, just looked at me and said, “Do you want it back?” If a customer is literally telling you the food is nasty, why would you not offer to make it right? I didn’t want to make a scene, so I just took the thing and threw it in the trash on my way out. That’s $7 straight down the drain.
This isn’t even my first bad experience here. I tried to give this place another chance but last winter, I ordered an item through the online menu that was being advertised, only to find out it wasn’t available that day. No one told me, they just ignored the item. I had to ask, and only then was I told they didn’t have it. No heads-up, no apology, no refund.
Honestly, the staff at this location clearly needs training in basic customer service and hospitality. If a customer tells you their order is wrong or inedible, fix it. Offer a refund or something else. Don’t just shrug it off.
And let’s not ignore the prices. This place is charging $7 for a small, iced coffee you can finish in three sips, and that’s when they actually get your order right. If you like overpriced coffee and don’t care about customer service, maybe this is the spot for you. I won’t be...
Read moreI love this place, I promise. I am such a Sir Walter stan. The vibes are always right and the staff is always fantastic. The girls at this new location are amazing and I appreciate the heck out of them. The drinks are a 10/10, the coffee AND cocktails are just delicious and creative and I love them. No notes.
My issue is the food- and it always has been (I've been going to the Davie location for years). I don't know what it is but there is always something /off/ about the food, taste wise and otherwise. For starters, the avocado toast that has about 2 tablespoons of avocado on it and a mountain of pickled onions. :( (I love pickled onions, but this was pickled onion toast, not avocado toast). Or the loaded potato skins without even a wiff of spice...at least put some salt and pepper on it pleeeease (..some green onions or chives would've also carried it so much farther IMO (not that my opinion REALLY matters) ) and the bagels are basically grocery store bagels (but you nailed the bagel to cream cheese ratio). I've always felt like the food here is "just fine" and I find myself wanting MORE from you guys and idk maybe that's just a ME issue. Anyway, thanks for coming to my ted talk. I'm excited to try all the...
Read morecoffee stops at 5 when hours say 8. I think there needs to be updated hours, and clearer communication in regards to when it closes. It only says the kitchen closes at 4, and nothing in regards to the coffee.
leaving the feedback so it can be communicated better for ppl on here moving forward
EDIT: I’m still going to leave this one star review after reading after some more reviews sharing the same problem, and having a response that felt really condescending and inappropriate. It’s clear that even though they will say that this is a small business to guilt people from leaving a one star review, it doesn’t help that this location has a Starbucks across from it, which in turn, results in loss sells with stopping coffee at 5PM. They’re more friendly and accommodating across the street, and this location really needs to fix this problem ASAP
