Came to town with friends for the Dreamville festival on April(5-7), booked a double queen room at the Tempo through Expedia for 2 nights way back in December. Came to the hotel from 2 states away, checked in with my group and went upstairs to see that the double queen we booked was a junior king suite. Went back downstairs to ask to get it corrected while otw to the festival, was told it would be corrected when we came back that night and to leave the items we took to the room with valet and we can collect them later and check into the correct room. We returned and I asked the night shift clerk abt the room change and to give the suite keys over for the correct room. He told us we never paid or checked in at all despite me showing him the cleared payment on my bank transactions and the fact that we had room keys. We were essentially left stranded away from home and out of $1158 to no resolve or apology from staff. Called Monday to see about a refund to be told that we don’t even have a payment in the system despite it being gone from my bank account and record of the payment being sent to management because they can’t find the payment in their system. Management offered to watch the cameras to see what went wrong and respond back and here we are days later to no response, refund or resolve. Essentially it seems as tho we paid $1158 to no one and for nothing. No follow up or explanation given on what went wrong either! Since every hotel was booked up for the festival we slept in the car for 2 nights in a new city and are going back home with no refund despite never getting to stay! Truly disappointed because I love Hilton hotels and am an honors member and the tempo was beautiful and I trusted this brand which is why I booked, paid and trusted that it would be a smooth experience. Being out of $1k and stranded 2 states away while being gaslit and kicked out truly makes me not want to ever book Hilton again. Beautiful hotel but it seems they will take your money and never explain what happened.
Update 4-12-2024* After a talk with Expedia they confirmed that the employees at this hotel did in fact just decide to keep our money. They gave me the run around on the phone but told them the truth. They said we aren’t getting refunded because we were rude, when the clerk told us we didn’t pay and would be homeless for the night so yea of course we were rude after spending $1k to sleep in a car. This still doesn’t explain why the night in question we weren’t allowed to stay. If we had just came in and left quietly would our money have magically appeared after being told y’all didn’t have it?? Anyway I posted the proof of payment and the response from expedia who tried to...

Aspects to love:
The Moonsong cafe offers both simple and hearty breakfast options, with delicious espresso/coffee drinks. Though breakfast is not included in your stay, dining at Moonsong in the morning is worth the extra penny.
Every staff member cares about your experience - the valet, front desk, management, cafe workers, and more. They were all incredibly kind and attentive. Specifically, Andre and Mario with valet, and Sam at the front desk, the Assistant General Manager, everyone in the cafe, and Zach and Bill who assisted with our TV issue.
Streaming services and live television is available in your room. I love to be able to spend time in my hotel room, cozy in bed, and pull up Netflix! The TV atomically signs you out upon check out. You can also easily hook up gaming consoles as the tv extends out from the wall for easy port access.
There is a water refill station conveniently located in the lobby. I love bringing my water bottle with me everywhere and knowing I can refill it with good clean water instead of in the bathroom sink.
Your stay will feel luxurious.
Aspects to consider:
This hotel is brand new - There will inevitably be some kinks the team is still working out. These issues will not matter because you know the staff will take care of it promptly!
There is an EMS located right next to the hotel. You will hear sirens a few times throughout your stay. This did not bother us, but it may bother you if you are a light sleeper, need complete quiet, or have young kids. I would say we only heard EMS 2-3 times per day and never heard it after going to sleep.
Parking will be expensive, as most downtown parking tends to be. If you have a a car overnight, it is $30 per night. Daily parking is $15. There is other paid public parking available (street/garage) that may be a bit cheaper. It is easy to retrieve your car when needed and the valet workers are so kind. Additionally the garage is easily accessible on the second floor of the hotel. We were not sure whether tipping was expected with valet, which can be another additional expense on top of a daily/parking fee.
The hotel parking garage is not prominent. We had to park on the street then walk in and ask where parking was. Definitely wish there was more clear signage out - perhaps that is something they are already working on. The front desk informed us where valet was and from that point it was...

Subject: Feedback on Stay at Tempo Hotel – Parking Experience
Dear Tempo Hotel Team,
I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share both my appreciation and a concern regarding my visit.
First, I want to commend the hotel itself—it was aesthetically pleasing, and my overall stay was truly enjoyable. The accommodations were comfortable, and the ambiance was excellent.
However, I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with parking. My intention was to use the valet service, but upon arrival, I was informed that valet was full. This forced me to park in the garage across the street. While it was less expensive, the experience there was far from functional or convenient.
When I attempted to leave, both pay stations at the exit were malfunctioning. Neither card reader would recognize my payment cards. I then pressed the assistance button and spoke with a staff member who walked me through the checkout process, which I had already completed multiple times. Despite following his instructions again, the issue persisted, and I remained unable to exit the garage.
At one point, he mentioned he could see me via camera, and I asked him to send someone to assist me directly. Unfortunately, no help ever arrived, and I ended up being stuck in the garage for over 30 minutes. This situation was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.
As a guest, I believe valet spots should be prioritized for those staying at the hotel. Being redirected to a poorly managed third-party facility significantly detracted from what would have otherwise been a seamless experience.
Because of this ordeal, I am genuinely unsure if I would choose to stay at Tempo again, which is disappointing given how much I enjoyed everything else.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and that steps are taken to improve the parking experience for...
