Price: 4/5. For two people with drinks, you can expect to pay around $30 for dinner. At Lunch, look to spend with drinks - around the low $20 mark for two people.
Quality 3/5. They certainly have a lot of options here, from the Hibachi grill to sushi to just eating off of the buffet. The downside is they sometimes over cook the food because of the settings on the heating bars. When coupled with the bad customer service from the waitresses and short tempered management - you sometimes have a bad experience here.
Cleanliness 3/5. Tables aren't disinfected or cleaned with real cleaner. Instead, filthy rags sit in a dish bucket with brown suds and waitresses wipe down the tables hundreds of times each day using the same dirty water. Seems like a breeding pool for germs.
Service 1/5. THE worst aspect of this place has to be the way we were treated. Our drinks were never refilled once - even after asking the waitress for a refill. I asked for a To-go cup with water in it and our waitress brings me an empty styrofoam cup with no top on it. Ask for the check though...but wait; didn't have to do that. We literally got the bill and fortune cookies the very second we sat down along with our utensils. We hadn't even gotten our first plate and we were aleady being shoved out the door. This caused me to get fed up. When the waitress brought me the cup I said "I asked for this to be filled with ice water". She rolled her eyes and sighed and stomped off with an attitude. My wife and I laughed in shock at this. When she came back I said thanks very sarcastically to which the waitress replied "Yeah Yeah Yeah" and waved her arms dismissively.
The food was good but the attitude we received was enough for me to...
Read moreMy family and I have patronized this business for many years, however we will not be returning. My mother and I had an extremely unpleasant and unsafe experience yesterday. When we received the bill, I noticed that it was unusually high, about $50 for 2 buffets and 1 tea. As I'm looking over the bill I see an extra charge. I call the waitress over because I'm thinking it must be a mistake. She tells me that the extra charge is because we were dining for over 90 minutes. I asked her when did that policy go into effect because again I have eaten there for years and have NEVER been charged that fee. As my mother and I are discussing the bill with the waitress, a male customer sitting at the booth behind us with 2 other men starts yelling at us saying that we should be discussing that with the manager and not the waitress. It took us by complete surprise. What was even more surprising and disappointing was the lack of involvement from the employees. Not one manager came over to de-escalate or inquire about the altercation that was happening in their establishment. We were being attacked by a man who was twice our size. The customer who appeared of Hispanic decent even told us to "go back to Africa". The issue with OUR bill had absolutely nothing to do with him so I don't understand why he felt the need to attack us. When we got home we called and spoke with the manager. She simply did not care. She said she didn't feel the need to get involved because the altercation was between customers. The situation could have ended badly. Not only is it an unsafe environment, it's now unreasonably over priced for a mediocre buffet style restaurant, that has decreased their food options...
Read moreToday, I visited a place called "Hibachi - Grill Buffet." When I went to pay for my meal, I received a bill and handed over my card. However, after receiving the receipt, I noticed a discrepancy. I asked why the amount was different from the bill I was originally given.
At that moment, a Chinese woman started yelling at me, telling me to shut up and leave the restaurant. I was told that the difference in price was due to the fact that cash payments are not taxed, while card payments are subject to taxes and transaction fees—and that I was expected to cover these costs instead of the restaurant (which is not true). When I pointed out that this practice is illegal, I was verbally attacked.
Additionally, I raised concerns about the high sugar content in the food (such as shrimp), which poses a serious risk to diabetics and could even be life-threatening. I suggested that there should be labels indicating which products contain sugar and other flavor enhancers. My concerns were completely ignored, and I was met with more verbal aggression.
So, dear customers, if you don’t mind being overcharged, verbally abused, and consuming excessive amounts of white sugar (even in shrimp!), this place might be for you. However, if you value good service, quality food, and fair pricing, I strongly recommend choosing another restaurant. Furthermore, I suggest that the appropriate IRS authorities take an interest in this buffet. Avoiding tax payments, discrepancies in bills, and forcing customers to cover transaction fees—which should be the restaurant's responsibility—are nothing short of fraud and...
