For starters let me just say that this was the first time I have ever had a negative experience at Buffalo brothers. I called the restaurant a few minutes after 9:00 p.m. To ensure that they would have seating for 6. They assured me that they did and I told them we were about 20 minutes out. That was the end of the conversation. Out of the party I arrived first and saw a sign on the door that said kitchen closes at 9:45 everyone arrived by 9:30. By this point I had already asked the waitress who asked her manager could we be accommodated and I heard them discussing the fact that they stopped seating customers at 9:30. At which point I walked over so that I could hear the discussion and I told the manager that I was informed that we were fine to get there at the time we were going to arrive when I called and that no one on the call indicated anything about the kitchen closing or them stopped seating at 9:30. She then told me that she was not talking to me that she was talking to the waitress. I informed her that there was no need to pass the message when she could just tell me directly herself. We were eventually seated and 10 Minutes after being seated our waitress came over and told us that we needed to hurry up and place our orders because the kitchen was about to close and we didn't have much time. We were be all taken back by her Deliverance especially bc we had been waiting for her to come take the orders for 10 minutes. Needless to say, even though our food came out swiftly some of it was wrong, our condiments were not right, the drinks came out 10 minute after the food had already been delivered and then they were not refilled . 3 arnold palmers were ordered but everybody got tea. The teas were unable to be refilled because they threw away the tea without notifying us that they were getting ready to. Our waitress was the only person serving the entire restaurant seemed like. Needless to say it was not the most pleasurable bday celebration. Plus the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in 2...
Read moreUPDATE 10/04/2016 They have pretty much completed the remodel. The place is looking great and they now have a really nice beer selection on draft. Lots of NC selections. The bathrooms have been nice and clean for the last 6 mos or so. We typically visit once a week. The bar staff continues to be professional and friendly.
Honestly the food at other locations is much better, and it doesn't bode well that just about every time I come the manager is sitting in the dining room watching TV as if he's at home in his living room. I always sit in the Bar. All of the bartenders have been professional and attentive. Which is why I keep coming back, well that and it's the closest location to my home. Also, the bathrooms are so smelly of urine I wanted to gag so I brought it up to the manager and instead of seein to it he gave the excuse " it's the morning crew, they're supposed to pour Clorox down the drain and it takes care of that smell instantly" then went back to sitting and watching tv. He actually gave me an excuse and shifted the blame on someone else and proceeded to do nothing about it. I was just thinking to myself " it's the drain? You don't think that the rivers of piss under the urinals that went all the way to the drain had anything to do with it?" I mean come on! You're management and a customer told you that it stunk so bad I had to hold my breath and you blow it off when it supposedly is a 1 min pouring bleach down the drain? Must have been a damn good game on tv is all I can think!!! Again, the bartenders...
Read moreI've been to this Buffalo Brothers two times. The first time my boyfriend and I got a Groupon that said $11 for $20 of food. So that time went ok, they accepted our Groupon and everything. We had burgers, and they weren't all that great, but they were decent. They didn't have that yummy grilled taste and the edges weren't crispy. I got steamed veggies for a side, but it turned out to be just broccoli, carrots and cauliflower mix that looked like they were average frozen from a bag like you get at the store.
The second time was worse. This is a couple months after our first visit. We bought the Groupon again - same Groupon. I got the fish fry, which was pretty good. My boyfriend got a burger, which he said was just as plain as last time. We had to get the attention of the waitress every time we needed something. Anyway, when we were finished, we tried to use the Groupon and the waitress brought the manager over who told us that it's 2 Groupons that have a $10 value each and you have to use at separate visits. I told him we used it last time, but he didn't care and didn't own up to the mistake of his staff members.
They were rude to us and frankly, I feel that their deal on Groupon is deceitful and sneaky. I understand that it is in the fine print or whatever, but it's sneaky. You end up spending WAY more than you save because you have to go there twice. At this point I don't want to go back because of their poor service and low quality food, but now we have to unless we want to waste the money we already spent on...
