Mona Pita Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Raleigh

I usually don't take the time to write reviews. However, after this encounter I felt I had to. My family and I was waiting outside to enter the restaurant because of the great reviews we had read. I personally overheard a conversation with the older lady and a delivery driver that was sickening. The lady was upset because the delivery driver took 10 mins to pick up the order for delivery. She throw a cup on the counter at the driver while ignoring her request for what drink was needed . She was very rude, unprofessional, and being unpleasant the whole time while the driver was explaining calming that she had multiple deliveries. Being witness to such activity and having empathy for the driver my family decided to go to another restaurant. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but we wanted no parts of it. We felt so bad for the driver that we told her sorry that she was treated like this because my husband does delivers as well. What she doesn't know is the delivery app tracks drivers the whole time and we saw the driver go into another restaurant waiting on an order. My advice is be careful how you treat others because someone is always watching and listening. We will not be going back to this restaurant. If I could give it no stars I would based off...

VERY professional service, the food was just ok... the meat was over cooked and kinda burnt. Our meal cost about 20.00 and I didn't feel like the meat portions wasn't enough for me; my family felt the same way. The boys were complaining about not having meat and then started fighting about who had more meat. We were still hungry when we left.

Udates: Gave them a 2nd try! WE were craving Mediterranean food so my husband suggested Mona Pita. We go in and there is no meat spinning. The women is on the phone and doesn't say anything as we enter. We wait patiently for her phone call to end and we look at the menu; settle on what we want and noticed she has walked away. We wait a 1-2 more minutes. Then walked out. Standing there for at least 7 minutes without being greeted or waited on... ummmm NO!

*My first experience was FAR better then this one. Maybe it's new hires. Respectfully!

I'm not one to ever post a review, but I was totally surprised with all of the great reviews of this place so I felt like I needed to tell my thoughts....Chicken was good, however I've had MUCH better tzatziki Sauce at other local similar restaurants. That's one of the main reasons I go to Greek places, is for that Sauce, and I was disappointed. Me and my mom dined in, we thought we were getting a lunch special, with a side and drink.... No side, just the chicken gyro and drink was over $15!! Carpet looked dirty, and the thing that the ice comes out of on the drink machine had something growing on the side of it. I was nervous to eat the food, we both said we would unfortunately not be going back. I hate it, because I love to support local places, but I just can't do it. Wish the best of...
