Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Raleigh

I ordered online just the other night and being that this was my first timing ordering delivery from Papa John's, I didn't know that they did t have their own delivery drivers. I wasn't aware that they used Door dash for their deliveries. This Saturday night I ordered ome pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni for my children who decided they wanted some pizza around 9ish PM. I ordered and when the pizza got to my house my daughter handed them the money and requested a certain amount back from the driver who tried to take the money a run down the steps until I came to the door and stopped him... requested that certain amount back from him and he then proceeded to tell me he didn't have change. I'm like okay, but I'm not just giving you 20 extra dollars as a tip! ...You already get a delivery fee, plus I was giving him a $5.00 tip...he then ask me do you have change? I'm like no because if I did, I wouldn't be giving you $40.00! He then proceeded to try and turn around to leave with my money again and I then told him to come back, I gave him the pizza back and told him to give me my money back, mind you the pizza was cold as hell...I took my money, went in the house and called Domino's. The next afternoon my children and I were leaving and as soon as we hit the steps to leave, my daughter said ma look at this!! The guy had took the pizza and smeared it all over my steps and wall of my apartment and flying bugs and ants were everywhere! I would never order anything else coming from Papa John's as long as their third party delivery driver are...

My order consisted of two cheese pizzas, one chicken pizza, and a cookie pie. The cookie pie and the two cheese pizza I received were correct. However the chicken pizza I order came with ham baked under the cheese and a few hamburger chunks. I called the store and asked if the chicken pizza could be remade. I was greeted with an employee that had an unpleasant attitude. When I informed her that the pizza I received was in correct. She stated that the ingredients are mix and there is no way to guarantee that the next pizza would be made correctly. But she could PICK through it if I wanted. I then asked if I could just receive a cheese pizza instead. Due to religious beliefs my family doesn’t eat pork nor beef. She stated that it will again be another chicken pizza. She was unwilling to change it for me. I’ve order numerous pizzas from this location and never had a problem with my pizza containing ham cooked under the cheese. I then filled a complaint over the phone with customer service. The employee of the location then called me back asking why I had filled a complaint on the store if I had already talked to her. Her attitude was now unprofessional and unpleasant. She ask me for an explanation that I provided on the initial call. She did send another pizza but I’m reluctant to feed it to my family for fear of something done to my pizza. I’m not sure what the process is after a customer fills a complaint after but having the same employee call the customer back after the issue wasn’t resolved was...

A Disaster of A Manager

Last night, we ordered pizza and it didn’t arrive.

When I called to let them know that the status of the order said it was completed but the pizza was not here, I asked the manager if he could resend the order. He told me, literally in these words, “Nah, I ain’t doing all that work. I’m just going to refund you the order” I asked him why he couldn’t resend it…his response: silence then he hung up.

I called back and was continually being hung up on WITHOUT ME SAYING A WORD until he finally picked up and said, “I don’t know why you keep calling, I told you I was going to refund” At this point, it hit me…this manager has been treating customers disrespectfully like this consistently and there was no recourse for him. I told him he was being unprofessional and guess what happened immediately afterwards…you guessed it! I got hung up on again.

As a CEO of a startup, we know one thing that separates us from big corporations…treating people like human beings. This guy needs to be fired. As long as he is at that store, I know there will be more stories like mine sadly all because he just will get away with treating the customers, who ultimately fund his paycheck, like trash.
