We ordered thru the Sean’s Shack website online ordering link as we normally do and drove up to the speaker. We were told to drive up to the window due to our food not being ready yet, but we didn’t mind waiting. There was a car in front of us waiting for their food. Consequently, we waited for about 10 minutes as they prepped his order. By the time we got up to the window, 3 cars had lined up behind us. We told the girl that we had a mobile order she immediately snapped at us and said “no, you need to go inside”. I explained in the many times we’d done this, we’ve never been told we had to go inside. She caught an attitude and stated they were busy and the order wasn’t ready - mind you, she didn’t know which order she was referring to bc she never asked. I said our order was supposed to be ready 10 minutes ago, we’ve never had to go inside, and if she was going to be rude about it I’d like to switch it to a curb side. She said to pull up, comes out with yet more attitude talking about some order for 7:30, yelling at us saying it’s not ready and questioning us. We finally had a chance to speak and let her know that we placed the order at this point, well over 30 minutes ago and it was only for 2 burgers. Even showed her the order on my phone. She said she was talking about another order, got confused, and walked away. She came back ages later with the right order and issued a bare minimum apology. To say I was not only embarrassed by irate at the lack of attention, customer service, and care. It was not busy, and everyone had to wait the same amount of time and all 3 cars still got their food well before us. Despite them lining up within a 10 min procession. Take her off the front line if she’s going to be so snappy and rude. Especially if she can’t handle the pressure of a 5:00 rush without snapping at people. It was unnecessary and it made her and the...
Read moreA year+ out edit and update: Well we had been out all day in Knightdale, didn't want to drive past the house to go get fast food, so we figured, man it's been a year since we've been to Sean's Shack, maybe they have their stuff together again.
Nope. Ask for extra pickles? Get 3 pickles all stacked on top of each other, in the same location, on the top bun. Cool Sean's Shack, that's okay, we hate you too.
I live literally 2-3 minutes away, you guys used to get probably at least 1 meal a week out of me here. I'll continue to take my business 30 minutes over to Apex and give my money to Culver's, a national chain, rather than a locally owned small business.
Sean's Shack Owner: That used to be GUARANTEED MONEY for you. A REGULAR Customer. Never again!
I get it Sean's Shack employees, you hate us customers, we hate you too. We just don't hate you for simply showing up and existing, we hate your incompetence and indifference to doing such basic tasks that you're literally being paid to do. I'm going to never give my business to you guys ever again, good luck having jobs if Sean's Shack closes!
Original Review: Been going here for a while, and it really seems to be hit or miss anymore.
The burgers are always pretty consistent, same with the fries. However, this last time I went, my 'milkshake' was mostly milk, and had a 2 inch wide ring of chocolate syrup around the top of the cup, because it was hardly mixed, at all.
Another time I went, I was told my total would be $10.50, and then when I looked at my receipt after they ran my card, it was suddenly $12 because whoever was at the register, decided to tip themselves!
So pay attention to your receipts from Sean's Shack, and make sure the staff isn't giving themselves a bonus that you didn't authorize and that they never...
Read moreSean's Shack is a hidden gem and I will do anything within my grasp to help this wonderful gentleman (Sean, the proprietor) succeed with his mission to provide us with a wonderful, home-cooked meal that will satisfy all appetites at any hour of the day.
I first discovered this place several years ago when it was originally a Steak and Shake franchise, which offered a wonderful menu and a great value for your dollar. Sean is a talented entrepreneur and quickly capitalized on his opportunity to deliver us something even better.
Kudos. Well done, sir. And AMEN, as during my last visit a week ago when I asked Sean how is business was going and to thank him for such a wonderful breakfast, he said "THANK GOD" I can pay all of my bills and my employees. You are correct sir, and thank God everyday for your success.
I was beyond impressed with his humility and after yet another amazing breakfast with him (I come here monthly just to see his smiling face as well), I inquired about the refrigerator with what looked like home-made jams and other tasty treats.
I asked my server to add it to my bill, who was also an ace, very courteous, and a true professional and he explained these were home-made mango jams. Sold. They do everything fresh, including home-made hot sauce which they will bring as a sampler.
Upon check-out, Sean explained this was on the house and refused to let me pay for it. Class act and thank-you, again Sean.
I will come back again and often and have already introduced several friends to the value of this hidden gem.
P.S. you have to try the home-made milkshakes!
Thank you Sean and may God continue to bless your...
