Female today (12/16/20) ill mannered. This is my second time going to Starbucks and I didn't know it was such a big deal to ask for sprinkles at the end. I thought they just add it or offered it for the kids (will explain in a bit). She seemed rather annoyed and her tone of voice isn't soemthing I appreciated since she could have worded it or said it differently. Since arriving she seemed like she was over for the day. Cashier seemed to be rushed and also annoyed to take our order although at the time it was only us to order.
On Sunday night, 12/13/20, was my first time going since my children have been asking. The two men working at that time were extremely helpful, patient and they were the ones who offered the sprinkles which is why I knew they had it. Very friendly and this is why I gave 3 stars rather than a low rating due to today's experience.
I only got Starbucks because of my kids, I didn't think to add sprinkles to the order at the time. I don't mind waiting and letting others go first when I'm not ready. Basically just trying to say that I also had a rough day, but I don't take it out on anyone. Seeing that look of annoyance irritated me due to my little one having to see this.
I would say I may go in again in the future due to my FIRST experience but if I have no other choice or if I see that they are working that shift. I tipped the first time, I did not tip today.
I expect this service I had tonight from McDonalds, not somewhere pricey...
Read moreMost of the staff here are exceptional when it comes to customer service. When it’s super busy, I’d hate to be in their shoes; then they’re like a well-oiled but frantic machine where handoffs are carefully orchestrated, and harried and impatient customers impatiently waiting for their drinks. This is a far cry from Howard Schultz’s (founder) original vision of quaint, neighborhood style espresso bars like you find all over Italy. Of course, in Italy they don’t have our insanely long and grueling work schedules. Unfortunately, Starbucks has gotten insanely expensive. Maybe it’s because of constrained supply chains created by the pandemic, coupled with staff shortages, but the pricing has put a damper on visiting any Starbucks. This place is great, though. I think it’s also their most profitable store in the Raleigh area, but that info could be dated. Parking is a bit of a challenge at time, in part also because when people visit Glenwood South they use the Starbucks parking lot at public parking; kind of annoying. And merging back into traffic onto busy peace street sometimes also causes bottlenecks. However, good store with...
Read moreIm always on the hunt to find new places to study that are near campus but not on campus. And Ive spent a lot of time at several Starbuck's across the state of NC. Besides the prompt and professional service (expected), the parking (adequate and downright impressive considering the area), and outside seating area (shaded), there is one thing-one wonderful feature- that this location has that no other can lay claim too.
SN: I love how this corporation, regardless of the standardization of its layout, and menu, always takes on the flavor of the community the local shop serves.
Cocoa (sp?) is a barista whose ebullient spirit makes up the essence of this Starbuck's location. It is no secret she is a favorite among the customers and its obvious why that is.
5 stars for Cocoa(sp?) and for this...
