The bouncers working last night (Sat Nov 2) donāt know how to do their jobs properly. I went Friday night - stood in line for abt 10 mins and got in with no issues. Then I went again last night, stood in line for 10 mins and almost didnāt get in. My group got in before me. The bouncer was looking at my I.D - he was shining a flashlight on it and looking back at me. Then he handed me my I.D back and shook his head ānoā. I was immediately caught off guard and looked at him and said āitās not fake, itās realā and he pointed to the exited. I said āitās real, you can call the cops overā. He just ignored me. Then I went to the bouncer beside him and asked if he could look at he just shook his head. So then I have my group yelling over and asking what was going on - I yelled back that they said my I.D was fake. Iām 24 - I was also dressed up in a costume with my hair up. My I.D picture was taken when I was 17 - so I obviously look older. They didnāt even scan my I.D, they just shined a flashlight on it. They clearly donāt know how to tell a real one from a fake one. So then I go up to the giant security guard by the exit. He was more buff and older than the guys checking I.Ds. I told him that they were saying my license was fake and they didnāt scan it so I wasnāt sure what to do. He was very helpful, he looked at my license and then let me in - so I appreciate him a lot for doing that. He knows what heās doing. Once I was inside the Village I met about 6 people who said they were 17-19 years old. So that obviously tells you that the bouncers seriously canāt tell a fake I.D from a real one. The bartenders outside were so sweet and quick with drinks. They were absolutely amazing and overall better than some of the other ones on Glenwood. So overall the big security guard and the bartenders are amazing, but the bouncers need to learn how to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast night it was pouring rain and flooding. Me and my friend ran out from the village to get to our car, we stopped briefly under the tent area to catch a break, as our shoes and clothes are soaked and my friend had got make up in her eyes, her eyes were burning and she couldnāt see. The security guard took the āOpportunityā too not only yell in our faces, telling us we couldnāt be under the tent area, but decided put his hands on me and pushed me into the rain, I told him to get his hands off me and he could have told us in a better way and he still proceeded to be a douche bag. Not sure why he feels so entitled to certain things when heās sitting in the rain probably not getting paid enough to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience at The Village Nightlife Complex. As a person of Indian descent, I was outright denied entry simply because the bouncer "didnāt want my business." This blatant act of discrimination is not only unacceptable, but it's also illegal. Everyone deserves the right to enjoy a night out, regardless of their ethnicity. Instead, I was met with prejudice that left me feeling unwelcome and devalued. It's disheartening to see such behavior still exists in 2025, and I urge the management to take a hard look at their staff's actions. We should be promoting inclusivity,...
