I hate to leave a poor review, but Iām hoping this review helps them make changes.
Itās connected to the nail salon next door and the strong smell permeates the shop since the two shops are combined in the back. You walk through the nail salon to the bathroom. I wish I knew since Iām allergic to acrylic products for nails and am extra sensitive.
Iām disappointed but maybe I ordered the wrong drink? Itās my usual matcha milk tea with boba and custard/pudding that I order in other boba tea shops. Today, they didnāt have any pudding.
Since they didnāt have the pudding/custard thatās on the menu, I asked for double boba and paid the extra $1.80 (for double boba). I got the same amount as I would get with one serving.
The boba wasnāt soft and chewy. It was really tough (stale).
Lastly, the drink cost $9.09 and wasnāt full. She said itās because I asked for no ice. 𤨠Pic below.
Iām also not a fan of asking for a tip before I receive the food/drink, but their checkout machine asks up front. I did a 15% tip on an order that I had to stand around and pick up at the counter myself. I was the only one in the store, so there wasnāt a ābusyā excuse. Ultimately, the experience was unpleasant. I am surprised by the high reviews since, in my opinion, itās the worst boba place in the Triangle. I havenāt been to all, but Iāve been to at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI heard a lot of stuff from this place so I had to give it a try. First of all, as soon as I got in, the place smelled like nail salon chemicals...but that didn't stop me from getting a drink lol. I got their milk tea and sugar cane juice with no ice. Milk tea was very good. However, I was a little disappointed when I saw the amount of sugar cane juice in the cup. They did inform me the drink wouldn't be filled up all the way, but my cup was only about 60% full. The drink tasted nice, but if anyone is thinking of getting sugar cane juice, I would say get it with regular ice or think twice(?) about getting it. The interior was very lacking as well. I also saw couple of straw wrappers on the chair. Even though I enjoyed their drinks, I don't think I will be back as there are other...
Ā Ā Ā Read more5/26/24: 1st time visiting this Boba place! As soon as I got in, I immediately had to go out - the chemical smell was VERY overwhelming & nauseating as soon as you hit the door! They gotta do something about that. Smell definitely leaks in the airducts/vents from the nail salon nextdoor - but a food place should not be mixed with chemicals/nail/acetone smell. Kinda concerning actually. They don't use gloves & they don't wash hands in-between orders or in-between touching everything either (cashier, counter, utensils, machines, money, drinks, etc.). The Taro milk tea + lychee was good tho. But they gotta do something about the chemical smell & sanitation with food-handling before coming back...
