I was so disappointed with our recent experience last Friday at William & Co. We have been to this bar a few times prior and have absolutely loved our experience. Last Friday, we stopped by for a few drinks to finish off an otherwise incredible evening. After our first drink, we ordered a drink from the bar in the back. This drink was the SPICIEST drink I have ever tasted. The item was not advertised as spicy or hot in anyway. We asked the bartender if there was a way for us to maybe tone down the spice a bit. After two attempts with the back bartender to try to salvage the $14 dollar drink, we politely asked to receive a different drink. To which the bartender said he would gladly give us a different drink at no additional charge. I should also mention that with each "fix" of the drink, there had only been one sip taken because it was still so incredibly spicy. When we went to pay for our tab, the bartender had charged us for a SEPARATE drink each time he added a splash of Prosecco or Perrier to try to dilute the spicy cocktail. He also charged us for the replacement drink he said would be "on the house" after the chaos with the spicy drink. All in all, our tab ended up at over $100... I was so disappointed in this service and the tab we were stuck with at the end of the night. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to William & Co. and are sad not to be able to recommend this...
Read moreI’m a local downtown Raleigh native I have always spoke highly of William & Company. Unfortunately the service my family was given tonight was extremely disappointing we sat down for a solid 30 minutes at no point did anyone say a word to us. Even when the water was brought out not even a hello nothing not a single word. Just very poor customer service we did not fill welcomed in the slightest I would try to get the staff’s attention and just be brushed off unfortunately this will be my last time spending my money here. I always tip x 100% or more on my bill as someone who is very familiar with this industry especially in downtown RALEIGH the staff working this night was a poor reflection of what this place use to be. Will stop referring my community to this place. And will be posting my experience on...

William & Co aka Willco sits right on Person St. Right next to Crawford and Sons, across from Krispy Kreme, kiddie corner from The Station. Nestled in the heart and a mainstay in the Mordecai neighborhood.
I can't say enough about this bar. Has been and will continue to be one of the most inventive and creative cocktail menus in the 919. Sure, they do they classics, but they take it up a notch too.
This cool, eclectic bar has the feel of some place you'd find in Soho or maybe the colorful Metropolitan steets of Mexico City.
Protip : get the tamales. Seriously. A cool Mexican cervesa or an upscale cocktail, both are well...
