Stopped in on June 11th, a day after they reopened. It was a bad experience.
I walked in, the dining room was half full, and there was a long line of people wanting to order and pay. I got in, put in my two orders, and sat down to wait.
Halfway through waiting for my food one of my orders came up. I think they realized they missed one. We're about 20 minutes in from time of order. I continue waiting.
People filter in and out, there is chaos among the staff. It seems that the ordering system is not working properly. They are very concerned about the center table with people in suits in the middle of the dining area. The phone is ringing often. It's busy, but like I said below, this is a good place to eat.
After another half hour and nearly all other people getting their food and leaving, the women next to me throws in the towel and has to leave. I assume she'll get a refund at some point. My other food comes out. I take it and go, now over 15 minutes late to get back to work. Its been an hour at this point, but the food payoff was coming. Its gonna be great.
I get to the office, my food is cold, the other one isn't much better, and it smells odd. It doesn't smell like the peanutty goodness I've come to expect, and that I patiently waited for. It smells....weird. Not like peanut sauce. (I had two orders of the Thai chicken w/peanut sauce btw, my fav. I convinced a coworker to get it too, and now I feel bad about that.)
My coworker got the wrong side dish (egg roll instead of wontons). I decided that I waited for it, I'm going to eat it. I waited over an hour for this. Its time. I tasted my food. It's cold, and unappetizing.
The meal was not good. It was cooked fine, but the peanut sauce didn't taste like peanut sauce. All the ingredients looked cooked properly, but the flavor was not there. It didn't taste bad, just kind of flavorless. It was certainly not what I was expecting or what I have come to expect from Ginger. I didn't eat it. I risked my job to wait for the food payoff and was wholly disappointed.
I'm dropping my review to two stars. My previous review is below. I'm not sure I'll go back. It really bums me out.
EDIT: My coworker came and asked me what the hell I suggested to her. She said the same thing. No flavor peanut sauce, mushy rice, coldish food. She said the eggroll she didn't order or want was the best part of the whole meal, and she ordered wontons instead of an eggroll because she doesn't like eggrolls!
Old review below
Great food, good serving on lunch portions. They closed down to remodel and have not opened again. Sign in the windows still says they hope to reopen in early March, but its now mid April, and there is a large pile of sheet rock sitting in the building and a lot of work left it looks like.
I'm worried it won't open again. If you are thinking about going here, call first. As of today they...

I ordered for pick up. When I arrived and asked for my order the less than kind and rather dim younger girl discovered she gave my food to the last pick up customer by mistake. No apology. Told me they could make it again with a matter-of-fact demeanor and that it would take another 25 minutes.
Fine.
Wait in my car the 25 minutes and come back in and it's ready. She grabs it asking my name again and tells me the full price of the meal with who I think was a manager or owner next to her. I glared for a moment and paid in full and left quickly before saying anything too harsh.
I finally arrive home over an hour after placing the order and discover the broth from the contents had spilled everywhere inside to bag and further more it was the completely WRONG DISH.
At this point I said screw it and called back to give her a piece of my mind. The girl that took my order and "helped/served" me at the counter answers in the same dim removed demeanor and I proceed tell her I got the wrong dish. This is when she shows the first signs of actual cognitive function and quickly disagrees with me. I tell her it's ludicrous that I show up to have my food given to someone else, wait 25 minutes, pay full price just to get the wrong meal (tasted terrible btw but not the point) and to be argued with when brought up. Absolutely ridiculous.
I've had less than pleasing experiences in restaurants maybe a hand full of times and have never experienced something as to leave me as angry as this.

Read moreDo not. I repeat - do not go back! Me and my mom were regulars here and would go very often when they first opened. When they closed we were both so sad because we loved the food! I just ordered to-go since their re-opening and the food is just disgusting compared to the food before. The egg role was soggy, the fried rice was mushy and smelt really weird and some of the vegetables were undercooked or over cooked. 👎🏻
When I first called, I was put on hold for 5-10min and then hung up on. I called back 4 times which went to voicemail before I could get through to anyone. On top of that, they messed up my order completely. When I called back to get a refund the manager explained I could come in and get two free lunches or come back in and get refunded. I asked if there was a way to look up my purchase and refund me over the phone and with their new system apparently that’s not a 100% yet?! Usually I’m never one to leave bad reviews but I’m extremely disappointed in not only the food but management and the service!! Do yourself a favor and go...
