So I was super excited about this location, being vegan since June 2018 I try to find as many vegan restaurants as possible. I walk in, and there is one person taking care of everyone in the building whilst holding a baby. Cute baby. But that has to be tough to maintain a specific standard. I also noticed there was no music whatsoever, it was a bit of an awkward environment with everyone having quiet conversations. I had seen on the menu they offered mozzarella sticks which grabbed my attention because I haven't had any since i went vegan, so I wanted to try these vegan versions they offered. The waitress/cashier/idk what other hat she wore brought out 4 mozzarella sticks with a huge marinara (unnecessary) portion. It was okay, it tasted more like tofu than anything, nothing to write home about. I then perused the menu and didn't really see anything I hadn't seen before but I wanted to take advantage of being here since it is pretty far from where I live. I decided on the Cheeseburger Empanadas with fries. The portion was about a 6 dollar portion size, not 9.75 worth. It wasn't spectacular, just felt like I was mainly eating grease. The silverware was blotchy and not very pleasing to the eyes. The water cup looked dirty, or way too old and I wasn't even sure if it was tap or filtered. I hope it was filtered. When I finally finished the bathroom was not well maintained. I went to the counter to pay my bill and I was charged 20$ total. The cheeseburger empanadas like I said were about a 6 dollar portion and i was charged 8 dollars for 4 measly mozzarella sticks. I paid and gave my 20 percent tip because I know what the service industry is like and even if the service isn't up to par 20 percent should always be given. All in all I gave 3 stars because I love vegan spots otherwise it would of been 1. I doubt I'll ever come back to this location but I do hope this review helps them up their restaurant etiquette and professionalism. And maybe adjust the inflated prices? Once again cute baby, not worth 24 dollars. The experience was lackluster and...
Read moreStopped in for breakfast at this all vegan NJ diner restaurant, and can confidently say there are some great elements. Customer service is prompt, friendly, and quick. Waitress was very accommodating and although she was new, she went above and beyond to answer all our questions as best as possible. Food was made quick to order, servings were large, and menu is reasonably priced as well! There has been a recent switch of ownership to a new owner, and the restaurant feels like it is “under construction” at the time of this review. The newly printed menu is similar to its predecessor, but although it looks modern it lacks distinction and color. It would be great to have a better menu design and a more creative interior design of this diner restaurant, but maybe these are currently in the works. Under new ownership this establishment may be headed in the right direction but only time will tell. We found out the new owner is not vegan, so their heart may not be into the overall restaurant and this leaves a question of passion for an all vegan business. The service and food is there, but will the details and integrity stay true to the business focus, we will see! We tried the loaded fries (super flavorful and filling) breakfast burrito (great flavors, but felt like it lacked a signature sauce or dressing), and skyline salad (so refreshing and such an...
Read moreI love the fact that, they offer so many vegan options; although I wish they offer more healthy, whole food vegan choices instead of the processed vegan junk food. Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service made my visit, a delight when I felt more at home, talking to the staff that enjoyed a vegan diet as much as I did. However, the food can be a hit or miss since, I found the soup was delicious while, other foods I ordered were simply bland and didn't have enough seasoning to make the food tasty and delicious. Furthermore, the portions are huge and one meal can be two to three meals, so if you purchase a meal that doesn't wet your palate than, your struck with a huge plate that you can't finish on your own. I wish they had different size meal options so, I could have chosen a smaller meal portion size for a cheaper price or at least had some samples so you can try the food first, to make certain that you like it, before ordering it. The prices are quite expensive as well, so if your ordering a couple of items on the menu along with a drink, you are going to be spending over 30 dollars so, if your on a budget like myself than, you can't really go here often and if you don't like any portion of your meal than, you feel like you wasted a...
