King Pizza North — Restaurant in Ramsey

I'm so disappointed. This was my first time trying King Pizza and it was awful. I ordered the deep dish pizza, on their online app (88 Restaurants), with half spinach and mushroom, and half pepperoni and sausage. I thought it was cool as the app specifically has you choose left and right. The pizza plus 18% tip was over $40. When we picked it up, it was NOT a deep-dish pizza, just a regular hand-tossed, and everything was piled on one side which was q disgusting pile. We went back in to question the pizza and was told that's deep dish and the toppings were ordered that way. No offer to fix the pie or remake it. Just, it was your fault in ordering. Tried to show me a receipt for someone else that showed the L& R toppings but it could have been a phone in order. I went back on the app at home to see if I made the mistake, and tried ordering a different pizza with half toppings. It ordered the same way, without left and right directions. This was a solid 5 and my go-to for plain pizza after having tried all the local pizza places in both Allendale and Ramsey. However, within the last couple of months I've noticed a substantial change in the crust and sauce, which would now place this in the middle for local pizza. The crust has gone from thoughtful, crispy and well-formed to generic and soft. The sauce has undergone a similar change, once a subtle compliment but now sweet and dominant. We LOVE King Pizza - I'll finally give my hubby full credit for finding this ORIGINAL, YUMMY place. As I told the Owner, his recipe for GARLIC KNOTS are absolutely the best I have EVER had. If you're looking for your traditional garlic knots you will not find them here. They're small, round and filled with tasty garlic so they "pop"in your mouth.
