Updated- This happened last week. My husband and I had a great experience the last time we came here, and I gave it 5 stars. But this time, I’m taking 3 stars away. I’m shocked that the same place, with the same staff, could deliver both the best and the worst service. We ordered 9 grain pancakes, an omelet, and French toast and side of onion rings. Three dishes arrived, and while we started eating, and it was good until our server told us he was going on break and that another lady server would take care of our table. (I won’t mention names, even though I know their names.) Unfortunately, that lady NEVER checked on us, didn’t ask if we need refills for water or coffee and completely ignored our omelet. It sat in the kitchen for more than 15 minutes, and no one cared to bring it to us. When we finally stopped another guy server and told that our omelet had been sitting there and we just wanted the check, he went back to talk to our original server. The original server came back but didn’t say a word. no apology, nothing. He simply adjusted our bill on the computer and left, clearly more focused on his break than on customer service. (Before what I do now, I was a GM for three restaurants, so I know what good customer service looks like in situations like this) To be honest, the 9 grain pancakes were also disappointing this time also. Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Is was a classic-typical stero type Denny’s experience. ‐--------‐----- Okay, so this year, my birthday fell on a Sunday, and my husband and I decided to celebrate by eating out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (no cooking for me on my birthday!) So on my birhtday morning, my husband woke me up around 4:30 a.m. Since we’d gone to bed early, it wasn’t too bad, but I was still wondering, “Where are we going to find breakfast at this hour? 😑?? There’s hardly anything open around here that early.” He suggested Denny’s since I wanted a classic American breakfast, not something fancy. I agreed, as it's been a while since we’d been there. We arrived around 5am and to my surprise, there were already three tables. We ordered country fried steak, French toast, and 9 grain pancakes with eggs, hash browns, sausage, and bacon. I even tried their healthy smoothie, which was surprisingly pretty good! We cleared out every plate 😎 Despite only one server working at that time, he was incredibly efficient, friendly, and experienced. The service was fast, and everything ran smoothly. Read moreI recently had a very bad experience at this Denny’s. I believe they have handled this unprofessionally and it was a gross experience, to say the least, on Thanksgiving Day 2023.
Being alone this Thanksgiving I did not cook so I decided to order the Chicken Fried Chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and the Mac and cheese and cheesecake for dessert that comes with strawberry 🍓’s and purée.
side note… I decided to opt out on a drink at Dennys BECUZ they are priced too high at just under $4. After picking up my meal, I left and drove to purchase a drink at the “Quik Stop” down the road. I bought a soda for $1.69, I might add. 😀
I couldn’t wait to try a bite of the chicken so I had grabbed plastic ware before leaving the gas station and proceeded to take approx 6 bites (not even a 1/4 of the entire chicken piece) and a couple of bites of each of the side dishes. It had been 8 to 10 min since I walked out the door from Denny’s but the food was cool not much warmth to it at all. Once I reached my destination I was going to sneak a couple of bites of the cheesecake for which I did then I decided to open the container with the strawberry topping and was completely dismayed when a course long wavy black hair was dangling from the strawberry topping attached around the inside of the lid.
I am sorry but I was so disgusted that I never took another bite of ANY OF THE FOOD AGAIN!!! I packaged it all back up in the bag and returned it to the Denny’s later the next day. I went to bed hungry and sad and grossed out but it was too late in the evening. I was not going to drive all the way back over there on Thanksgiving night.
This is where the worst part comes in. I, of course, showed them the hair and gave them a recap of what I stated above. The gal working that shift proceeded to explain that nothing could be done until Monday. That was on a Thursday over 10 on 11-24-23 she said she took a picture of it and that she sent it to her bosses phone. I left my name and number along with the original receipt.
As of the present moment, I have heard nothing from anyone. I have not seen any kind of refund and no one has tried to contact me about the incident and health hazard that was present in my food.

I do have a bone to pick with the lady that Denny's 🙄 blessed with the opportunity to be the first person customers would interact with, and the last person they saw on the way out the door. I would seriously reconsider this strategy - unless of course, it was intentionally done by the higher ups - in which case: truly, I am seriously intrigued in your reasoning behind this. If you'd care to enlighten me as to this bizarre choice in regards to what I would consider questionable people placement. 🤔
I went to pick up an order for Uber Eats, and the "young woman" at the front desk provided me with an experience nothing short of terrible; in my opinion she is not fit for food service... For providing a copacetic experience for anyone ; simply trying to satisfy hunger pains. She was neither happy, friendly, nor helpful. I have received the message from the customer in regards to preferred drinks, which I relayed to said "waitress of the year" - and you know, if I were in her shoes, I would have taken that as an opportunity to upsell... but rather instead she tried to pressure man to signing and receipt while I was on the phone with the customer trying to confirm that he indeed did not want the drinks if it was going to cost him extra..
Great job, Denny's. never ever, eeeeever ever ever will I be going to this location again - so help...
