Come spend a day with your boy at Monaco’s Pizza 🍕 in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. @mommilovesu #Food #fyp #pizza #italian

I usually don’t have problems with Monaco’s but today they were rude to me because I said I felt the pizza was over cooked. No one wanted to eat it. I ordered online and had my dad pick it up for me. I didn’t make any selection for how the pizza was cooked so the default selection was selected. I sent the picture of the pizza and she said I selected it to be well done and that is what happens, the pepperonis will be half burnt and the pizza was fine. I let her know I didn’t select well done it was defaulted to that. She had a rude tone and was telling me there is no such thing as default selection and that I chose it and kept going on about it. I had to let her know I was not trying to argue about it. I do know that I didn’t manually select well done and it was already selected. I didn’t know I had to change the settings to not have half burnt pepperoni. She continued. I kind of repeated myself and thanked her for her time and hung up before she could continue to be more rude to me. I had a problem with the pizza but was not upset until she was rude to me. This just happened today (Jan 5 around 3:30p)

My wife took me to dinner at Monaco's as it was recommended to me. The dining area is small but works well given that they are always busy and packed. I was very disappointed with the ravioli appetizer solely because it was described to have jalapeno within, however, there wasnt even a hint of jalapeno in any of them. The super thin crust pizza was spectacular. We ordered a large two topping pie that took up the entire table. The service staff was kept very busy however I always had my drink refilled without asking, and our food and appetizers and salad came out in perfect timing. There are quite a few televisions that line the perimeter, so every seat in the house is good for watching the game. The bathroom was surprisingly clean and pleasant for a bustling Pizza Joint / bar. There is outside seating with stand up heaters and there wasn't an empty table to be found. I look forward to returning and sampling the Stromboli as well as the gnocchi.

I normally don't give reviews but this place was so bad I felt compelled to.

Wait time: We were seated right away but once seated wait time was horrible. At first I thought it was due to the waitress but after looking around a bit I realize she was the only waitress for the entire restaurant on a Saturday night. There was a male host and another female who I thought was a waitress but stayed in front the whole time talking to the host and would only leave to clear a table once one needed to be cleared. I couldn't understand why whoever was incharge did not put the other female table clearer to wait on tables. She was on the clock, why not use her extra idle hands. My husband and I could not help but notice it took 30 minutes for the 2 tables after us to be given waters and menus. We were served more promptly but we were also vocal to our waitress and flagged her down a few times when we could tell she forgot about us. She was trying her best but was overwhelmed. Those who sat quietly on the other hand waited and waited.

The Food: We ordered the Monaco’s Sampler it was mediocre at best. There was no variation to this dish at all, all was battered and fried and looked the same. It was served with 3 sauces in very small plastic containers. I asked for extra marinara sauce and we were informed it would cost us extra. In fact anytime we asked for anything extra we were informed it would cost extra. We live in a nice area and the restaurant is in the same city, so it was just very odd that the waitress was continually sent back to us to inform us that it would cost us extra especially after we informed the waitress extra charges were not a problem nor did we ever inquire . Next we ordered a pizza, the topping were plentiful and the crust was ok. What stood out the most was how dry the pizza was due to having almost no marinara sauce.

Overall it was our 1st and last experience at Monaco's Pizza, it's to bad the restaurant is in a prime location, the atmosphere and decor is well presented. It seems like they could do a lot better for themselves if they could correct a...

My friends and I went here for lunch last Wednesday and were so disappointed with the service. We walked in at 11:35am and waited over 5mins for someone to notice we entered the door. Several people were already waiting and it seemed like they were waiting for a while before us. There were at least 7 tables with people and only half of them had any drinks or even food in front of them.

When we were finally seated, we were left alone and waited over 10mins before we noticed no one came to tell us the menu was online or that there would be a long wait. Not once did any wait staff come to our table after we sat down. There were three staff that I noticed in the back. We decided to wait another 5mins before we walked out and across the parking lot to eat lunch. We only have one hour for our lunch break and it seemed like we would have been there for 2hrs if we stayed.

This place used to cater to the lunch crowd, by getting everyone in and out quickly. But, that was 10+ years since I last visited. It seems like they were short-staffed or quick service was no longer a practice. 🤷‍♀️ There were no lunch specials on their online menu. We felt like we were just seated...

The lunch specials are great prices! I went with a group of about 8 for lunch on a weekday. They had a nice-sized private group room that we were able to use. I got the stromboli, which was a slightly higher price than the other lunch specials, but I think it was worth it! It tasted great, and even the presentation was really nice. Highly recommend! As with all the lunch specials, it came with a salad (great size! much more than just a "side" salad!) and a drink. The lunch special price was the same as it would have been to order a stromboli (with no salad or drink) at a different time. A friend ordered the Italian sandwich lunch special, but it was so big that she could only eat half and gave the other half to me to take home. It was also really yummy! Great portion size. :) Other people in our group ordered personal pizzas or full-size salads. Everything looked good, and I heard positive comments from all.

It's not somewhere I will be going to regularly, as nothing was particularly amazingggg, but it was a nice place to try and I'll try to remember those lunch specials as something to potentially take a group to, like when family...
