Here’s an updated review, since I have been a member of Golds Gym thus far.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Gold’s Gym, particularly with the management team and their handling of member concerns. Over the past month, I have been attempting to resolve an issue that I brought to the attention of their Regional Manager, Andrew Beard. Unfortunately, the way this has been handled shows a lack of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through. Andrew Beard initially assured me that my concern would be addressed and that outreach would occur. However, those assurances have proven to be empty promises. More than a month later, I have not received the resolution that was promised, nor have I been provided with consistent communication or updates. This has left me not only frustrated, but also feeling that my time and membership as a customer are not valued. The management team as a whole appears disorganized and unresponsive, and this reflects poorly on the Gold’s Gym brand. When a Regional Manager fails to follow through on commitments, it sets the tone for a culture of incompetence across the organization. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and solutions, none of which I have received. I expected better from a well-known fitness brand. Until Gold’s Gym improves its management practices, honors its commitments, and trains leadership to deliver on promises, I cannot recommend this gym in good faith.

I’m excited to share how rewarding my experience has been working with my trainer, Terrence, and his manager, Shane. From the very beginning, Terrence has shown unwavering support, patience, and dedication in helping me achieve my fitness goals. His personalized approach makes each session both effective and engaging, and his motivation keeps me pushing beyond my limits.
Shane, in his role as manager, has also been instrumental in making sure my overall experience is smooth and positive. Together, they foster a welcoming and professional environment where progress is a shared priority. It’s clear that both Terrence and Shane are genuinely invested in my success and well-being.
Thanks to their outstanding guidance, I’m already seeing amazing results—and I’m more motivated than ever to continue this journey with such an...
Read moreIm witing this review to warn people of the manger at this loaction “FRANK” seems like a knowledgeable guy, trust worthy but don't get caught up in the nice guy act this MAN IS A TOTAL SCAM ARTIST. What I'm about say here is backed up by countless reviews at the WEST COVINA LOCATION . BE CAREFUL THEY OBVIOUSLY moved this man after several complaints from previous location.
The situation was that my sister signed up to 4 training session with a partner at the set price of $192 for both. When signing up the personal fitness manager made my sister sign on that which was only going to be charged 4 times as agreed.
As time goes on her last payment is taken but then the next month a total of $384 is taken from my sisters card. At first we spoke to Frank about this and he said he would take care of it and that it was cancelled. Then the next month comes around and again its charged $384. Again try to speak to Frank and I ask him "What type of business is being run here? because you lied about canceling and also refused to cancel membership in person" To this he has no response is completely silent and dissmisve.
He had told me he cancelled the training and that It wouldn’t be charged.
Unbeknownst to me, 2 month later since this issue started they are still charging me monthly . I called spoke 2 different people who indicated they would fix the problem because Frank NEVER cancelled anything. ALSO IF YOU COMPLAIN AND STILL TRY TO ATTEND THE GYM HE MAKES SURE TO LET STAFF KNOW TO BE HOSTILE TOWARDS YOU.
I asked to speak with him but Frank was no where to be found. “Busy now” He will hide from you and staff will enable this as well
How did I fix the issue? -I called my bank and disputed the transactions and paid to block Golds gym.
What now? -They are still charging me and at this point it's up to 1000 or more in charges that I've had to dispute as FRANk Lies and doesn't cancel anything. WOKE UP THIS MORNING STILL CHARGED.
Conclusion: Don’t trust Frank “management, “ they are quick to get you in, take your money and forget about anything else. “ so...
Read moreThe gym itself is nice and has nice equipment. However, I’ve never been to a gym where there aren’t clips for the bars in the squat racks lol that is just a liability waiting to happen. The gym is pretty packed at all times of the day even on weekends so it is hard to train hard enough especially when the equipment and dumbbells are all being used and you can’t even find any to do a quick workout. They keep adding promotions to this location and my concern is that there will be even more members going here and you won’t be able to properly workout. My other complaint is with kaili. She has been so rude. I was working out with my boyfriend and he was just stabilizing my back and putting his hand on my lats while doing cable rows. We both had our headphones on and neither of us were talking when she comes up to me MID set - anyone who works out seriously will know that this is rude - and she says you can’t do training here. I take out my headphones and say what and she says you can’t train here and my boyfriend says I’m not I’m just putting my hand on my girlfriends back and she said no you can’t do that. Like what??? Lol that is the whole point of working out with someone. After she left, another couple was right there and informed us that she tells everyone little things like that and has been rude to them before. After reading the reviews it seems I’m not the only one who feels she makes this gym uncomfortable and not welcoming. Anyone who works out with a friend or is an active gym goer knows that you don’t come up to someone mid set - you wait for them to be done to ask something. For a gym manager she doesn’t have gym etiquette. I suggest they look into management because you’re going to lose members if...
