I am not one to leave bad reviews but I have never had a more bizarre, disappointing, and unprofessional experience with a restaurant before. I ordered a salad and a family package which included an app, another salad, and lg pizza for delivery by DoorDash. When the order arrived, the pizza was not included. The driver indicated that it was very chaotic at the restaurant and the individual overseeing orders was all over the place. I was instructed to handle the issue via the door dash app and by calling the restaurant. When calling the restaurant, the employee put me on hold briefly and then hung up the call. I called back and the individual apologized profusely for hanging up on me and for not sending the pizza with the order. She fully owned up to the mistake and offered to have the pizza Ubered to my address (about 7 min away) which I appreciated as I was hosting guests. Five minutes later, the individual calls back to say that she’s not having my pizza delivered anymore because suddenly it was the Door Dashers fault….they forgot the pizza…. When earlier she said she forgot to hand it to them… She continued to note that since Door Dash offered me a $7 credit (for future door dash orders, not at this restaurant), they would no longer provide me with a pizza at all! This was a $50 order and the main part of the order- the pizza- was not ever provided. I couldn’t believe how the individual/restaurant went from totally owning the error and trying to make it right to totally blaming the driver. Needless to say this was a first and last for me. We ended up having to order from another restaurant, Theodora's in Wharton, which was a great experience. Read moreUsually a huge fan of paisanos never have a complaint and family members always ask us to order from them when they come over but tonight got my first bad review for them… I got my food and start eating it and there is a piece of hair in my food I immediately get on the phone and call the paisanos and tell them about it and the manager says that they can make a new one but I’d have to come pick it up. And I asked if they could deliver it to me and was told no that they don’t have a driver or anyone available to bring me a replacement. I said there is no one that works there that would be able to bring me my food and then the manager said no. I said that’s not good for business that you aren’t taking responsibility for the situation at hand and he said I can credit you for next time I said my food should be delivered and I should not have to worry about any hair in my food any more. And that I will not be ordering food from them anymore and to be honest I would order from them at least once a week and always would tip them in store nonstop. Read moreWe had our daughter's birthday party at the YMCA last weekend (also highly recommended) and they mentioned Paisano's as one of the local eateries to order food from. Well I'm glad they did because it couldn't have been easier!
Ordering a few days before (pizza and chicken fingers) took no less than three minutes and all my questions were answered. Granted, I didn't have many questions, but yes, the chicken fingers come with honey mustard on the side.
The delivery was on time - which was very important considering the time frame in which the kids were eating at the party.
The food was delicious.
It was fairly priced.
What more can you want? Five stars, highly recommended.
As an aside, I always chuckle when reviewers write something along the lines of "usually a huge fan" or "I'm not one to leave bad reviews" and didn't previously take the time to write a positive review. Sharing my positive experience took no more than five minutes. Also, the owner replying to each negative review is also a positive.
