Only second time here since reopening, my order was the fish and chips with a basket of shrimp, scallops, clam w/bellies. While waiting another person purchased 35 dollars worth of fresh fish. The person prepping the fish wiped his nose with his hand didnt wash his hand nothing just continued to cut fish. The person who ordered was very upset. The prepper tried to give an excuse for his actions. The person who order the fish was disguised and left. The prepper still tried to explain to the people who was waiting but everyone said you can not rub your nose and not wash your hands. The prepper literally just put the fish back in the case. It took twenty minutes for my order, however when I opened the containers the seafood was lukewarm but the fries were hot. The clams were the worst, first they looked over fried and crispy crumbs the pieces of clam strips that were present were rubbery and clearly these weren't clams w/bellies but pre battered precooked frozen clam strips that you purchase at the store to just heat up. Someone needs to tell them that you cant deep fry already cooked battered frozen clams. It comes out with batter extra crispy fell off and clams over done clam jerky. My issue too is you cant see them cook your food so no telling what they are giving you from when or if it is even fresh. This experience convinces me that it isnt fresh fried seafood in the back they are cooking. The best thing was the french fries. Not worth the money unless your just getting the fish and chips, however it's just one piece of fish they cut into two pieces. So dont be fooled that its two filets of fish just two pieces of one 3/4 of a filet. The storage of the fresh seafood wasnt properly maintained as well. You have to keep fresh seafood at a certain temperature. The employees need to be safe served certified and be retrained ASAP. I run a company that is food based and you can not take risks like the ones that were done today. This is a disaster waiting to happen! E.coli, salmonella, and food poisoning is on this secret...
Read moreI ordered two cooked Haddock dinners from Randolph Fish Market.. I was told my order will be ready in fifteen minutes. I said ok, I am traveling from Brockton, I will be there soon. She said ok , no problem. When I got there, I was greeted with a hello by two employees of the store. I told them my name and order. They retrieved my order. When I got home, myself and boyfriend started eating the meal, instantly we noticed something was not right, we ate a little more, and noticed this was not Haddock fish. I immediately called the store and told them the fish they gave me was not Haddock. My boyfriend say he think it may be Cod? I asked was this cod, they said no, it's catfish. I said why would you give us catfish when we ordered Haddock. ? He stated they had no more Haddock. I asked, then why take my order if you knew you did not have what I wanted.
To top things off I tired to eat catfish before and it gave me a upset stomach.
This type of practice is wrong and extremely dangerous. What if I had to be hospitalized from eating this type of fish or worst.
I asked when will they have Haddock? He stated maybe in a couple of weeks. I ask if I could return at a later date to get my Haddock on the house. He told me I would have to come back to Randolph tonight and bring back the meal to get a refund. I told him, I live in Brockton and could not come back today. However, you know what you did . If he gave me my right order this would not be happening. I told him, I can't come back tonight.
This will be my last time to this bait and switch store. Unfortunately, while writing this review, I had to pause to take care of "what else" an upset stomach, like I said the first time I tried to eat this particular fish this is what happened, and this is why I had made it a point to stay away from it.
MONEY BADLY SPENT AT THIS BAIT AND SWITCHED FISH STORE.
UNHAPPY AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE...

The Experience: This is a no-frills seafood market/fish fry spot with a mini market vibe. Alongside freshly prepared seafood meals, they offer a small selection of Vietnamese pantry items: things like sauces, spices, and rice. You place your food order at the register toward the back left, where there’s a menu posted. Service was fast and friendly; I was quoted just 15 minutes for my order. They accept credit cards (always a plus), and there are a couple of chairs if you want to wait inside.
The staff was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated that they skipped the tipping screen, especially refreshing given how tipping expectations have spiraled lately. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality.
The Food: I ordered the fish and chips and had a choice between haddock and catfish, I went with the haddock. I also grabbed some egg rolls on the side. A nice touch: they include a bottled water with the meal. • Fish: Generous portion, well-seasoned, and tasted very fresh. Definitely a standout. (5/5) • Fries: Crispy, plentiful, and satisfying. Nothing fancy, just solid. (4/5) • Coleslaw: A bit too creamy for my taste, but it had a nice tang. The only real letdown was the portion—it felt more like a garnish than a side. (3/5) • Egg Rolls: Came with sweet and sour sauce. These were average, nothing special. (2.5/5)
The rating 4.5/5: This place is a great option if you’re craving a quick, well-executed seafood meal without the fuss. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes. If you’re in the area and want solid fried seafood at a fair price, this spot is worth...
