Went in at about 650pm on a Thursday night. Sat down and was greeted by what seemed to be a lovely waitress, albeit a little bit spacey. We placed our appetizer order and it was brought out super quick! Placed our meal orders, mine being BBQ wings and waited. Waitress came out to tell my husband that the jalapeño cream cheese burger was unavailable and asked what else he would like and put that order in. Shortly after his food was brought out but mine was nowhere to be seen. I gave it a bit in hopes it was just a little behind but 10 minutes later I still had no food in front of me. My husband got up and asked about it and a few minutes later my wings were brought out...only to be in the wrong sauce. Husband got the waitresses attention and we told her the sauce was wrong. She asked me what I ordered and I said BBQ Sauce and it doesn't look like BBQ sauce. She seemed confused and said she was going to go look at the ticket. Finally brought my wings around 745 and I ate a few of them. We got our check and noticed that my wings weren't on there so we figured "oh that's nice of them they comped my wings". We give her our card and she brings back the receipt suddenly with our wings on them and the price different to what our original receipt said. I got up and left at this point because I was frustrated but my husband called her over and mentioned the discrepancy and she took both receipts back to check out what happened. Well I suppose she came back told my husband that they forgot to put the wings to which my husband said "I don't believe we should be paying for them with all the issues we had"...her response? "Well then just don't leave a tip then" and walked off. My husband obviously shocked went to find a manager. He told her the above story and she comped quite a bit off of our meal which is SO SO lovely so thank you! We typically love coming to sickies but if that waitress is still working there I will be requesting a new one. So thank you Lindsay for one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had and thank you to the manager for believing us and treating us with kindness...
Read moreAbsolutely atrocious service tonight. Bethany was horrible. Argumentative. Tried charging us for a titos and sprite despite being out of multiple beverages we asked for originally. Bethany tried to take the drink back when asked for the drink to be on the house or we werent going to pay for there lack of seltzers. Said that was the only way to have it removed. Only after we complained numerous times did a manager do anything and removed it. The other 19 year old manager walking around there like she knows what she is doing but wouldn't know what customer service was if she sat on it. To scared to do her job. You got teenage girls running the front door that don't know how to listen to what they are being told. Bethany then refused to sell us more alcohol because she deemed us to be to intoxicated. Does she have some kind of degree where she can make that judgement call. Refused to give us a to go cup for our shake because it had alcohol in it. Tried ordering drinks through another server and she refused to order because she wasnt the server. Tried flagging down one manager and that girl was spun out and just mobbing around. Asked for military discount and was only put on one meal not the whole ticket. Your host with braces kept walking by trying to pick a fight, acting like a clown and acting cocky just smiling at my husband. Food was alright. Service was horrible. Not to mention an hour long wait for 13 people and standing at the bar for 40 minutes of that to even get service. Let's not even get started on the lack of customers are right. Bartenders are so unorganized and rude. I am a bartender I know how to deal with customers. Bethany needs to focus on customer service and not acting like the so called rules of this place is going to win her an award or something. Customer is always right. We will...
Read moreWe are staying in Rapid City for a few nights to visit the sites. I suggested Sickies as a dinner spot on a Monday night, after reading great reviews, so we went. There was no wait and we were able to be seated right away. The menu is large and includes burgers in many different combinations, mac n cheese bowls, a few salads, chicken sandwiches, and a few baskets (like fish and chips etc).
Unfortunately, we were disappointed by both the food and the service.
Pros: Many TVs to watch sports Many beers on tap Shakes looked good (though we were too full to try one) Steamed side veggies, for us, were fresh broccoli florets and fresh carrots, with some kind of garlic butter sauce. It was tasty. There was a cool “you win every time” claw machine with mini rubber duckies, $1 per play, and play until you win. My kids enjoyed playing it.
Cons: Burgers were “meh” and they charge $2 extra for a brioche bun We came on Monday night which has a special of “kids eat free.” It’s advertised from 4-8 pm. We arrived close to 8:00, but nope, that meant we paid full price for the kids meal. I thought this was a local place, but nope, it’s a chain with 13 locations including in Fort Worth, Texas, Kansas, and Florida.
It was hard to get our server’s attention the entire evening. And the burgers were nothing special.
I think this might be a good place for beer and appetizers, and watching a game with friends.
I would not recommend and I would not come again due to the food...
