chillis is my favorite restaurant. great environment and i love the food. however i applied for a job there as a hostess because i was so excited to work in my favorite restaurant and talk to people. my first 2 training days had gotten messed up and rescheduled which is no one’s fault. my third training day which took place as number 1 went well except they had me working hours after my shift. at first i had told them i couldn’t work on weekends because of my jazz band schedule and they told me i could change my schedule for just the weekdays. then they sent me an e-mail saying my schedule doesn’t fit them and they require every employee to work two days of the weekend. which they failed to tell me and in fact lied to me about after saying i could change my schedule for no weekends. i tried to see if i could just work lunch hour and called the restaurant which i got placed on a call with the general manager and she was very rude with me, called my extra curricular activities “my shit” and very rudely hung up the phone on me when i asked about working lunch hours on weekends. they have lied to me and failed to tell me important factors about working there that they purposely left out. however this isn’t the first time she has done this. at first when my training days got messed up, i had called to see if i could reschedule and again that manager picked up the phone, rushed our call, had a nasty tone with me, and once again rudely hung up the phone the middle of my sentence with a simple “im busy now. bye!” and ending the call. they never even reached out to me to ask about rescheduling or working things out. they left it pretty much all up to me to reach out and then this manager would be nasty and act mad when i would. even though she wasn’t even doing her job to help me when she’s the one who knows what she’s doing, not me. not just the rude manager but also from my 1 work day and hearing others story, they don’t even cut the employees at the time they see supposed to. meaning they were working at least an hour or two overtime without even getting paid for it. they got paid for 4 hour shifts when they were working about 5-6 hour shifts. completely ridiculous and glad i quit before they could ruin the whole resturaunt for me as a whole. sorry. all i can say is it’s a cute restaurant and the employees (waiters and waitresses and hostess are nice and 2 other managers i met. not the one i’m talking about particularly). would not recommend working there. sorry to say this because i so love it there to eat just...
Read moreCame in around 8:30-9pm on a Friday night for one a dessert, waited for about 5 minutes at the door after many servers walking past me to be seated. I was finally greeted, not so happily and sat by the same person who would then take my order. my server never told me his name (I later got it since it was on the check) and just asked what I wanted to drink. I said I was just just here for a cookie skillet, he kind of scoffed at me, but at first I passed it off as a "ha, ok." Fast forward a little bit and I've now been waiting for a dessert that usually takes 5 minutes, for 15 minutes before it finally arrived. Never saw the server once until the very end, and to bring me my dessert. I was going to pay on the Ziosk, (the tablets at the tables) but there was no battery in mine, and I noticed on most tables as well. I then had to wait for the server to come remember that I was here, as I could see him sitting at another booth against a wall talking with other co-workers for about 5 minutes. He NEVER asked how everything was, NEVER checked on me, NEVER refilled my drink. When he was returning my card after I paid, I held my hand out to receive it from him and he just threw it on the table in front of me and walked away, scoffing again. The name on the check was Archibald. One of their new servers after what seems to be a big turnover. They have a few servers who have been there for awhile who are amazing, but their expertise is undermined by the rudeness and lack of customer service of the new servers. This place was doing well for a little while and they had an amazing staff, such as their take-out and hosts Kat, Eleri, Julia, and Jack and their experienced servers like Emily, Anthony, Sean, Claudia and some others I can't remember the names of. If I come back, I am only requesting to have them...

The service i received with my company has been horrible each time I’ve gone.its always the two same girls working! The two rude girls were there working each time. We left no tip at all. They didn’t deserve a dime. And if i decide to go back as it’s the closest to my house i will continue to not leave tips if their service continues to be terrible. Waited 20 minutes for a first drink, seemed like the girl didn’t know how to make a drink or it just looked like she was purposely going slow. . Never received water that we asked for . Never received napkins that we asked for. We didn’t know which one was our actual server as both girls seemed to be handling our order. One gave a drink to my friend and the other girl came with my drink. One girl came out with our appetizer, and for 45 minutes no one came to check on us. Finally as we called one girl over she came with attitude as if we were bothering her little huddle fun in the far end of the bar. We were done with our app and drinks for a long time, we were waiting to actually order our main food, maybe get napkins and our waters and wanted to just be acknowledged. There were only two of us. And about four other people at the bar area. So it was not busy. Food was ok, and there is one dish i do really like that idk i guess brings me back there. I guess I’ll have to hit up the other locations once in awhile as I’ve heard service at other chili’s is so much better.. next time i go to the flemington location I’ll be sure to get the girls names and a few pics and videos of their service so that can...
