I was surprised that the tempura appetizer with the shrimp was $9 and I got 2 shrimp and 4 bite sized pieces of vegetables. I was disappointed. Silly me, I didn't realize I also ordered whatever udon soup also comes with tempura for $16 and got the exact same portions of shrimp and veggies plus a big bowl of soup. Needless to say, that was a much better deal! Haha
The food was pretty good overall. The atmosphere is low key with a clean decor. Quick service. Waitress was not very intuitive and didn't really check in with me although she did respond quickly when I requested her attention. When I asked for the check with my credit card in hand, she delivered it and walked away before I could slip it right in and hand it right back to her.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered 4 items from their menu. Tuna tataki, seaweed salad, beef negamaki, and steak hibachi.
The seaweed salad came with spring mix, which was an odd choice. Not necessarily bad, just odd.
The tuna tataki, instead of being seared tuna in ponzu sauce came out as spicy seared tuna wrapped around raw red onions and avocado, this was inedible.
The beef negamaki instead of using traditional Japanese bbq sauce used something akin to sweet baby rays. Not awful, but again an odd choice.
The steak hibachi was so covered in oil that the entire dish, meat and vegetables tasted like the smell of a grease trap. I took 3 bites before asking for the check.
Overall, the none of the food was good or stood out, at the prices charged this one is a bit of a waste of...

The rolls are filled with fish as opposed to some other places that are mostly rice, so this is a huge plus! Process are reasonable and the service has been quick and attentive. It's down the street from me so it's a great option when I get my...
