Let me start by saying that the food here is definitely top-notch and probably some of the best Italian food I've ever had. We got the rice balls and the meatballs for appetizers which were both delicious. I got the Shrimp Parm over Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce, my brother got a Plain Pizza Pie, and my parents got the Shrimp Franchise and Shrimp Parm over rigatoni with marinara sauce. We all were extremely happy with our meals. The food is not the reason for my 2-star rating. The reason for my rating is the service. Our waiter was ok but the time it took our food to come out was unacceptable, especially for a place that wasn't crowded and had a decent amount of employees working. The appetizers took a good 50 minutes to come out. Not once did someone apologize and the only explanation we got was that "the rice balls take awhile". Thank god the portions of the appetizers were big enough to tide us over because it was another good 30 minutes, at least, until we got our entrees. I can't imagine if we had somewhere to be and were in any kind of rush. It should not have taken this long for our food to come out and we never received a reasonable apology or explanation. Once again the food was great, but only come if you have a few...

Been there twice in the past few months. The pizza is amazing in quality. Be warned that it will take about 45 minutes for your pizza to be prepared (dine-in or pickup). They are very understaffed for front-of-house. The first visit was a dine-in at 4:30 on a Friday. We were sat quickly, but the food took 45 minutes to arrive. You can hear the phone ringing constantly with no one available to pickup. Great food. Second 'visit' was take-out/pickup. I tried to call my order in for 30 minutes, but the phone was constantly busy. (How often is a phone number busy nowadays?) I decided to order online. Process seemed smooth until the site told me that they were closed during my desired pickup time of 5pm. Be warned, this appears to be a bug in their ordering system. If you move the pickup time to a later time slot, the order will process. I received a text and email confirmation of my order and a text when it was ready. Good process once you get past the pickup time glitch. Food was amazing. P.S. - Try the FraDiavolo pizza!!! Will order from there again, just not dine-in, and...

Last night I ordered via Door Dash at 6:00 and it said it would be delivered by 6:23-6:28. By 7:00 I received no notifications, no delivery, no updates. I started to call and for 15 minutes the phone was off the hook. I drove over at 7:20 and the girl at the front could not have been more rude. When I asked about the phone being off the hook she looked at it a just said โ€œOhโ€ฆyeah.โ€ And put it back on the charger, I asked for the status of my meal and she said hold on, went to the kitchen, came out a few minutes later and said they hadnโ€™t even started it yet. While processing the refund she insinuated that the issue was with me not understanding Door Dash notifications (which is laughable) and not once throughout the entire interaction offered an apology for the inconvenience. Everyone is entitled to an off night, but when you have one, take accountability....

Day 6 of 10 Days. 10 Local Gems ๐Ÿดโœจ Todayโ€™s stop: Il Forno a Legna, Raritan NJ - known for its wood-fired pizzas, bubbly crusts, and classic Italian comfort food. ๐Ÿ• First bite: Tri Color Pizza - three flavors in one, smoky crust, and plenty of toppings. ๐ŸŒฟ Then: Pesto Pie - creamy + fresh basil vibes (though I wished the pesto spread was more even!). ๐Ÿ† Last: Eggplant Rollatini - ricotta-stuffed eggplant baked in marinara & cheese - comfort food goals. Whether youโ€™re vegetarian, non-veg, or a pizza fanatic - this spot leaves you full + happy. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Tell me - team wood-fired pizza or classic New York slice? ๐Ÿ“Œ Save this for your next NJ pizza night! #MansiExplores #NJFoodTour #IlFornoALegna #WoodFiredPizza #NewJerseyEats

Tried to grab a pie somewhere else but they were " sold out". Dave musta stopped by ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I googled this place, and absolutely so glad I did. The Carne PIE was Amazing! Crispy, nice dough, and sauce and toppings! The wood fire char is always, always a plus. Also ordered the Pollo ( Chicken) Park. 2 cutlets, pounded and fried to perfection! Moist and crisp, enough cheese. Sauce was simple and good. Not sweet or too acidic. Pasta was al dente, and the portion was enough for 2! $36 for everything was unreal! This place could cut portions and raise prices and still be a STEAL OF A MEAL! Such a little hidden GEM. Absolutely GO HERE..AND GO NOW!

We visited Il Forno in Raritan for a recent party gathering and it was a positive experience. The modern decor and spacious, clean location were definite pluses. I liked the semi-private corner with a large glass wall, which effectively separated our large group from other diners. The service was also commendable. While the wood-fired cheese pizza and margarita were decent, they could have used a bit more flavor. Overall, though, it was a good experience.
