Giovanni's Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Readington Township

Undercook pizza and prejudice! I ordered from this restaurant long time ago but stopped after my last experience of an overcooked burn pizza. At that time, an old man managed it. After a long time, I came back to try it again, and it had seemed changed people. I ordered from the restaurant several times and pretty much the go to place because it is nearby and I liked the Works Pizza. In addition to this restaurant, there are few pizza restaurants (Sorrella, Annabella, Bensi, II Forno) I have tried and ordered at the nearby. This Halloween I ordered three pizzas for pick up. I arrived and waited for the cashier to finish taking care the one customer ahead of me. After he finished the customer, the cashier did not say a word and just walked away. He did not look at me or greet me, he just simply walked away to do other works. During the 10 minutes of waiting, not one worker greeted me – felt like invisible. A white woman customer came in after, and one of the worker in orange shirt greeted her right away and proceeded to skip me to take her order. After 10 minutes, the cashier finally came to take my order, and all I need is one minute of his time to pick up my pizzas. He said to me to have a “Good Day”, and my face just froze. The white male customer behind me obviously did not have to experience such prejudice and the cashier assisted him right away. Another disappointment was the pizzas were undercook because the crust seem to be too white and overall poor taste due to undercooked. My kid and his friends who can literally eat half a pie each only ate couple of slices. After this Halloween, I will visit the other pizza restaurants who are not bias and treat me with respect, and I am definitely not going back...

Drum roll please 🥁… You have got to eat here. Several 1st for this reviewer!!! I enjoyed EVERYTHING!!! This includes the customer service, the food (of course) & the location. Clean, inviting, great music selection. The owner was great, he may not even know how inspiring this visit was to myself. Was greeted on the phone & in person as my friend, not just me but ALL his guest. He even tried to upsell me (which I love)!!! Everything was hot & prepared better than expected!!! The Buffalo Chix Pizza was butter, had flavor. The Mozzarella Sticks cooked to perfection, with 1 of the best marinaras I’ve EVER had!!! Cheeseburger Sub had great weight, cheese & mayo was good, most importantly… Was SEASONED!!! My only recommendations would be to keep doing what you are doing… Bottle that Marinara or sell it to drink 😝!!! An unexpected stop that will be the measuring stick of all future Italian/Pizza Shops will be judged. I said what I said!!!...

I tried this pizza place for the first time yesterday and the food was fantastic and everyone seemed nice. So I ordered 2 days later for delivery. I ordered 1 slice, 1 fountain soda and a spinach roll. My surprise when I get my credit slip for almost $17. When I call, I get someone different who has the nerve to tell me it should have been $2 more. And I was undercharged!!! When I asked forbthe breakdown, he wasn't nice and claimed a fountain soda was $3.75, slice $3.50 and spinach roll $6.25, but since I used a card there was tax and a $4 delivery charge. They are a mile down the road. And if they had told me that, I would have picked it up. They are a total rip off when it comes to prices and when i stated how upset I was he didn't care. As good as the food is I will NEVER eat there again. I get during this time businesses are struggling but to rip customers off is...
