I've enjoyed my dinner at the restaurant as a satisfied customer, leaving great money tips for my pleasing waiter(s) or waitress(es), who served me very well with delicious food, for which I paid good money on a few of my paydays. I live in a group home, of 4 male individuals, including myself, in a nonprofit organization of different homes on separate streets within the same town limits and within the same company of different businesses to which we go and earn our US residential state minimum wage in California. We also have to follow through with our choices in that work program, whether it's a paid job biweekly twice a month or not. Our pay period is the 1st to the 15th on every timecard and the 16th to the last day of that same month on every other timecard. Our paydays are the 10th and 25th days of each month, except for the weekends and the holidays off. We work 5 days in every other week on Monday thru Friday from 9 AM to 10 AM, 10:30 to 12 PM, and 1 PM to 1/4 'til 2 PM. Once again, we plan our choices on 1 day to follow through with them on the next day except for the weekends and the holidays. There are also errands for us to run and life skills to use. On every 4 paydays, 1 of us, whose information is confidential by the rules of certain people who provide our needs, is the same individual who picks where to buy dinner. And so, with any reason for which that person is unable to buy dinner or to access any other community outings of any sort, that person will have to stay behind for dinner under direct staff supervision until everyone else is done for the night. I honestly think that Denny's is an excellent and great restaurant at which to buy just about anything for...
Read moreI traveled roughly 750 miles on my journey and decided a Dennys seemed like a good way point for my backpack tour of the south west united states. I had no had any water in 5 hours since leaving Los Angeles international besides a mini bottle on the plane. I arrived, was greeted by a seemingly friendly staff member. I found a seat, asked her for a beer and water. Was probably about 1700 pdt maybe a hair later that I arrived. Upon finding out they serve no beer; I gave the gal working a total of 120 seconds before I observed her. She was putting together condiments, napkins and such at the counter. I saw no water glass, no glass of water and overran felt very uncomfortable after her response to a request for a beer. Is this a dry county or something where I am, it's a town filled Red Bluff which when googled is referred to as dead Bluff by the locals; none of this should justify giving me poor customer service. I left within 10 minutes without a glass of water and decided not to give them my business whatsoever. I'd rather eat food from a gas station and pay for water so long as it is served with a genuine smile. Never, will I ever return to this business and I am posting about this on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook because this is unacceptable way to treat a. traveler. I'm white, I speak perfect English, I am well educated. Quite itit scares me how I get treated here and worry for people of other races or cultures who come to the United States for travels. This type of disconcern for a traveler who comes in for dinner and beverages, should not go unnoticed by management and I will be submitting this also to Dennys corporate....
Read moreI haven't been to a Denny's in probably 10 years as every single one I've ever gone to has never been a pleasant dining experience... Imagine my surprise when I walked into the cleanest Denny's I've ever been in!! even the bathroom was clean !! the place was pretty busy and there was only one waitress and one cook working so i Assumed I'd be sitting there a while before I even got to put a drink order in and again i was pleasantly surprised! The waitress was pleasant funny and engaging not just with me but all of her customers. I don't know why I was shocked at the $4 charge for a soda but when the waitress delivered my drink she had a cup full of ice and brought me a pitcher of soda and said " i want to make sure you got your $4 worth of soda just in case I get busy" ....omg! I think I met my soulmate lol I've always thought Denny's had great salads ....they did not disappoint, and when my entre arrived it LOOKED delicious! Nothing was luke warm or wilted, crusty or old tasting. Perfect tempature and even better tasting! I even had dessert.
Go check this place out the one here in Red Bluff I think you'll be pleasantly...
